LUCY
I screamed when the massive wolf lunged toward us. His jaw was open, ready to snap closed. The man threw me towards a tree. It knocked the wind out of me.
I landed on the grass with a loud thud. My lungs felt like they caught on fire.
When I looked back at the place where I was once standing, there were two large wolves fighting. There was the black one, and another brown, sick looking wolf. But he was strong. However, the black one held pure anger, fueling him.
The black wolf had finally pinned the brown one down. Just as his canines were inches away from his neck, two much smaller, muddy brown wolves knocked him off. They continued to keep him distracted from the brown wolf while he got away.
After a short time, the two were dead, and four more wolves joined. Then all of these stunning wolves transformed into men. Naked men.
My breathing picked up and my heartbeat raced. I could hardly breathe half a breath. My vision clouded with black dots.
"SHIT!!!" Xavier's powerful voice shouted. I felt someone lift me up, then I heard a loud growl.
"I'm sorry, Alpha." Then I was set back down.
"SHE'S HAVING A PANIC ATTACK!!!" Someone yelled. I couldn't see.
"GIVE ME IT!!" It was Xavier this time. He sounds panicked and worried. But why for me?
"Give you what?" I know that voice. It's the guy that found me in the woods that night.
"THE FUCKING SYRINGE YOU HAVE ALL THE DAMN TIME!!!!" Oh shit.
My sleeve was pulled up and I felt a small pinch, and someone picking me up from the ground. Chills went throughout my whole body at the warm comfort this person brought. My heartbeat was slowing down and I could finally breathe.
"It's ok, angel. I've got you, now. Everything's going to be fine." He whispered in my ear.
"Kevin, send four of our best fighters on his trail. Don't let him get away. Now!!!" He yelled.
I couldn't stay awake, so I let myself fall.
---
They say waking up in your own bed in the morning is the safest feeling in the world. So, not waking up in it must be terrifying.
But I'm not scared. I feel warm, and surprisingly....safe. Not something I know very much.
My arms are at my sides and someone is wrapped around me. Strong arms are holding me tenderly. I open my eyes and see Xavier's relaxed face next to mine. He looks so peaceful and free of worries. He always seems to be stressed about something.
You'd think I'd be screaming my head off about the fact he turned into a wolf in front of me. But I'm not as scared as I thought I'd be. I am scared, just not a lot.
Xavier started to slightly move, and stress frown lines appeared on his forehead.
"L-Lucy........stay....with me." His words startled me a bit. He barely knows me.
I attempted to remove his arm, but I got pulled in closer into his chest. Eventually, I had finally escaped his grip. But he started to groan and search the bed. So I put a pillow in my place.
I began walking towards the door, but arms shot out and pulled me to a hard chest. I'm even more scared now. His breathing was ragged and shaky.
"Are you trying to leave me?" He growled. His arms locked around me to where I couldn't even move. His body trembled behind me. I took a long shaky breath.
"Uhh...n-no. I n-nee-eed the re-restroom." God, I'm terrible at lying. I know he can see right through me.
"Don't lie to me!" I flinched because he growled it into my ear. "I know you were trying to leave. Don't do it again." That got me mad. What does he think I'm going to do? Stay here and be kept as a slave?
I shoved him away with everything I could get out. I thought I heard a whimper, but didn't think anything of it. I've never stood up to anybody. I knew if I ever tried with my dad, I'd be dead.
"Why am I not gonna do it again? I'm not even suppose to be here!!!" My voice echoed off of the gray walls.
A growl shook the entire room and I was pinned against the wall. The warmth and little sparks flowed through my body.
Memories of my dad invaded my mind. When he was extremely drunk, he would try to rape me. But he'd be so drunk, it only took a little tap on the head to knock him off of me. Then he'd pass out.
"No!! No no no, dad!!! Stop!!!" My arms swung to hit something, my legs kicked hard shins.
He grabbed my wrists and held them against his chest.
"Lucy!!! Lucy, it's me!! Xavier!" I didn't listen. Then I did the only other thing I could think of. I kneed him in between the legs. He dropped to the floor, holding his manhood. His face lit up a bright red.
I felt kinda bad, but I needed to get him off me somehow.
While I ran out the bedroom door, I noticed I was only dressed in a large t-shirt. No doubt it's his.
"Lucy. Stop." He breathed loudly. Does it hurt that bad?
I continued to look for the front door so maybe this time I can leave. But on my way I ran into a girl.
"Ow! Oh! Luna? I'm so sorry. Are you ok?" She said in a squeaky voice. She was really short and skinny. Her hair was brown with red highlights. She's very beautiful.
She stood up quickly and helped me up.
"Luna? Are you ok?"
I looked at her with a confusion. "My name is not Luna. It's Lucy." I whispered, out of breath.
Then she looked at me like I was crazy. "Umm..ok. Do you need any help, Luna?"
"Yes, I do. Can we go to your room? And call me Lucy." I rushed. She smiled and nodded, leading me further down the hallway.
We stopped at a white door, with the word Jackie painted in purple. She pulled out a key from her back pocket, unlocked the door, and walked in with me following.
Then she jumped on her queen sized, purple bed.
"So, why were you running in the hallway?" She asked.
"I was trying to get away from somebody. I need to get out of here. This guy is a wolf!!" I yelled in a whisper.
She started to laugh, really hard.
"Don't act so surprised!! Aren't we all here?!?!" She said sarcastically.
"You're one, too?!?! Oh my God!!" I dropped to the floor, with my face on my hands. This is too much. This whole damn house is full of werewolves!!!
"Oh my god. You haven't- oh no. Alpha is so going to kill me." She fell back on the bed with a hand on her cheek.
"Who's Alpha? And why would he hurt you?" I asked in a shaky voice. I keep hearing the word Alpha being used to refer to a person.
"He's someone very powerful here." She looked genuinely terrified.
I didn't say anything. I felt like I was gonna throw up and my head felt like it was being hit with a hammer.
After a few minutes I felt better.
"Your name is Jackie?" I tried to make conversation.
"Yeah." She smiled.
I frowned and looked away to hide tears.
"What's wrong?" She was right next to me in a second, making me jump and laugh a little.
"Nothing. It's just...I use to have a little sister named Jackie." My voice cracked at the end.
"I'm sorry. I used to have a big sister named Lucy. But I don't remember her much." She looked a little sad, but not to the point she was crying.
"What happened to her?" I asked.
"I don't know. My mom won't tell me." Her eyes got a little watery. "What happened to your sister?" I felt a tight ball in my throat and my eyes stung with fresh tears. "You don't have to tell me if it's too hard for you." I shook my head and took a deep breath.
"When I was four, my dad, mom, sister and I were going to the park. We had to drive passed a lake to get there. Once we got to it, something jumped in the road. My dad swerved into the lake. I passed out on impact, but when I woke up, the doctors told me my dad and I were fine. I asked about my mom and Jackie, but he said that he didn't know. They never found them in the car. They even searched the lake, but they disappeared." I cried out. I've never talked about it or told anyone. My dad has had me on homeschooling ever since then, so I don't have any friends.
"It's not your fault, you know. If you've ever felt like it was, it's not." She said without making eye contact. "Why are you here, though. Shouldn't you be with your dad? Your basically all he has left."
I froze and tried to come up with a lie. "He....kicked me out of the house. He got sick of me, I guess." I started to pull the oversized shirt to cover some bruises on my thighs. "What about your parents?" I asked.
"My dad is in another pack territory. He's speaking to the Alpha there for our Alpha." She said sadly. "I stayed here to watch my mom."
"Why do you need to watch her?" I asked.
"She's really sick. We don't know what's wrong with her. We don't even know if she'll live." Her eyes got watery, but she quickly wiped them away and let out a loud breath of air. "Anyways, who were you trying to get away from?"
"His name is Xavier." Her eyes widened and her face paled. She stood up quickly, grabbed my arm and pulled me into the hallway. "What are you doing? Where are we going?"
"Please don't hate me, Luna. But I have to take you back to him." Right away, I was trying to pull out of her grip. But she is just so strong!!! A girl this short should not have muscle strength like this. "Please!! You don't understand. If he found out that I helped, or even let you leave, he'll kill me!!!" I froze. He would kill her. Or maybe she's just over exaggerating. I looked at her and saw that she wasn't lying. He would really kill her. What kind of person would kill someone for such a stupid reason?!
"Okay." I whispered with tears. I'm afraid that he'll kill me, if he could kill someone who he lives with. Her face relaxed and she thanked me.
She walked me to a larger part of the house and stopped.
"This is as far as I can go. We're not allowed to go any further. Be careful." She hugged me and walked away.
I stayed put. I knew if I left, Jackie could get hurt. If I go back to him, I could get hurt. And he'd find me if I left. He's a wolf.
The sound of glass shattering echoed through the hall. Wood breaking, then more glass.
"FUCK!!!" It was Xavier, but there was a small growl among it. Made me think again about leaving.
Then it was quiet. No more sounds of items breaking. It was almost too quiet.
I slowly started to take short steps towards the bedroom he was in. And, a little to soon, I was in front of it. But I didn't go inside, or knock. Just stood there. Then I heard a loud thump.
Me, being the curious person I am, opened the door to see what it was. I didn't go inside, I just opened it.
The whole room was destroyed. The bed canopy had a leg missing. The mirror on the vanity was broken. And there were multiple holes in the walls. And in the middle of it all was my kidnapper. Lying on the floor, passed out, wit cuts on his chest, arms and hands.
I slowly walked towards him. The biggest gash was on his arm. It went from his elbow down to his wrist. His face was clean. Absolutely flawless. Handsome, and-
Stop right there. He's keeping me here. I'm not supposed to think like this.
But I did feel bad for him. Even if he was a wolf and liked to hold me.
I walked to the bathroom and grabbed a towel and wet it with warm water.
As I walked back to him, I grabbed a pocket knife he left on the dresser. Better safe than sorry.
I wiped his chest gently. But there were no cuts anymore. It was only blood. I looked back at his arm. The gash was almost gone. This must be an advantage to being a dog. Guess he didn't need me anymore. I'll just be going. I adjusted my leg to stand, but he grabbed my arm. My eyes widened, but my body kept still. He tugged towards him a little. I clutched the pocket knife. Then I held it towards his throat.
Once I looked at him, I regretted it. His eyes were wide with shock and pain. But I still held it in place.
He sat up. Really slowly. The knife still on his jugular. Then he reached for it. I pressed it harder against him, to warn him. But I knew I couldn't do it. He has a strange effect on me that I don't get.
His hand gently grabbed my small fingers. He took the little knife away from me and placed it on the ground next to him.
I tried to yank my hand away from him, but his grip is strong. Instead, he pulled me onto his lap.
He's so weird. Holds a girl hostage and tries to hold her like he's in love.
Right now, I was straddling him. I tried getting up, but he grasped my hips and growled. His eyes seemed to change color, too. So I stopped moving. He seemed to like it because he wrapped an arm around my midsection and the other on my back. And he placed his face against my neck, taking deep breaths.
Strangely, I began to relax. My arms wrapped around his neck and I leaned against him. He purred in response.
Then my right mind came back to me. I jumped up with struggle because of his arms. I realized I was still wearing his shirt and I had an intimate moment with him. I quickly turned towards the door. I dodged the broken glass and almost made it.
He appeared in front of me.
Then he whispered. "You're not going anywhere.":-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)#:-)
