"Remind me again why out of everyone who could have done this that they send you?" You asked Baraqiel.

You were on one of the trains that are used to enter the part of the underworld controlled by the Devils. Odin had decided that it would be beneficial for Valhalla to become part of the peace treaty with the devils, angels, and fallen angels. You decided to go with them considering that it was summer now and that mostly means that Akeno was in the underworld with Rias visiting her family. So instead of going back to Kuoh and waiting for them to come back you decided to just go there and act as a temporary guard for Odin with Rossweisse. Besides doing this as well would allow you to help Rossweisse with her self confidence. The Valkyrie has a problem when it comes to relationships and because of that it effects her confidence. One thing you didn't get was how she has never been in a relationship with anyone. She was very beautiful and strong as long as no one mentions her relationship history but even then she has been known to get violent sometimes but you've never seen that happened so you think that it either has to do with the circumstances or who brings it up for that to happen. Anyways it didn't make sense to you, you would think that someone would at least try going on a date with her at least once.

Baraqiel showed up after Odin sent word that he was interested in entering an alliance with the three powers. Apparently Azazel sent him to escort Odin to the meeting.

You had been avoiding him mostly because of what Akeno had told you about Shuri's death and how he wasn't there when they needed him. You blamed your self too, but you decided that you would at least give him a chance to explain himself to you before you would completely shun him from your life. He was after all Akeno's father and a man you once looked up to so you figured that he must have a good reason for why he wasn't there. Plus as far as you knew those men timed it so then he wasn't there when they attacked so you were willing to hear him out first. Besides you figured that you could hopefully help Akeno move past things and help her forgive her father for not being there. You also had already came up with an idea that might work to help her realize that it wasn't his fault.

"Azazel ordered me to." He says. "And I guess with my connection to Akeno he figured that I would be more careful about this so then I wouldn't screw this up and get her hurt even more."

"Why weren't you there?" You asked knowing that he would probably know what you were talking about.

"Azazel had ordered me to go deal with some fallen angels that were starting to cause trouble and get them back in line if possible. By the time that I finished and came home I found Shuri with Akeno holding her crying and screaming at me for not being there to save her." He tells you and you can tell that he wishes that he was there to protect them both just like you. You could even see the tears that he was holding back.

"It's alright Bar, I know what you're feeling, I know what it's like not being able to protect or save someone you love." You reassure him.

He looked back at you shocked that you forgive him and called him by his old nickname that you gave him because you had a hard time saying his name back then.

At this point you were ready to find those men and burn them.

"You don't need to." Baraqiel said.

"I just did so accept it and I am going to see if I can get Akeno to see that she can't blame you anymore then she can blame me for not being there." You tell him.

"That's not what I'm talking about, those men are already dead." He says.

You realize what he was talking about. He had already had gotten vengeance on them.

"Well then one less thing for me to do then." You say.

"You aren't going to ask me to explain?" He asks you.
