Just to clarify, I changed the last chapter's name because I believe it fits more into this one, but I haven't changed the last chapter, just a head's up. ;)
“So..” Julian starts in dutch, locking his phone, I knew what he wanted, he wanted answers.
“It’s a long story and complicated, I mean I’ve only met this girl two days ago but I can already tell she’s been through so much.” Julian nods in comprehension and his eyes want to know more. “I know it’s not my place to tell you this, but…” I struggle with my words, realising if this is hard for me to tell, then she must have had a rougher time telling me “She told me when she was fourteen she was raped by her boyfriend at the time” Julian’s eyes widening as I say the word raped “ but I feel like there is a lot more than that, you know? Like she’s been through more but she doesn’t want to say it, I don’t know why man… and she seems so happy and all, but she’s so…” Julian nods once again before replying.
“Yeah, I’ve noticed… It’s so weird when I met her, she seemed so happy with life and all, I would have never guessed this side of her” Now it was my turn to nod.
My phone starts ringing me and Julian turn our attention towards my phone.
Caller ID: Kara (Aleks’ Manager)
“Hello?” I say when I answer the call.
“Hi, thank god you picked up” Kara sounded almost out of breath.
“Why? Is there something wrong?” Julian looks at me weirdly.
“Just Aleks not picking up her phone when I told her to call me when you guys got there… But she’s fine right?”
“Yeah, she’s sleeping, she was exhausted”
“Oh, uh… Don’t tell her I told you this, but she forgot her, uh… just tell her to call me”
“Okay” I said unsure, I knew Kara was keeping something from me.
“Thanks, bye”
“Ok, bye” I say and hang up the call.
“who was it?” Julian says
“Aleks’ manager… she said Aleks had forgotten something, but she didn’t tell me what, like she didn’t know if she could say or not” I say in dutch.
“Maybe it was a vibrator” Julians says making us both laugh loudly, we stop when we see a completely different Aleks.
“Thanks for waking me up, assholes” she says jokingly since she was sincerely smiling.
“Good morning sleeping beauty” I say, even though it was 8PM. “oh Kara called me she was pissed that you didn’t answer and she told me you had forgotten something, she didn’t tell me what though.” She looks at me weirdly which I reply shrugging my shoulders.
