Jimin flicked opened his eyes in the world which turned upside down for him not a while ago, and soon enough he met with the most familiar face of his lover and protector "tae" he breathed out his name "Jimin-ah" taehyung rests his palm on his face caressing it rather softly

And the first question jimin asked was sharp enough to pierce through taehyung's heart as his eyes started bleeding in pain "how's our child? He's fine right taehyung?" Jimin asked running his hands on his belly that felt very unusual, taehyung couldn't find the courage to look into the hopeful eyes of the other so he hung his head low making his tears fall right into jimin's empty hand

"Taehyung! Tell me he's fine!" jimin asked again the panic of horror was visible in his tone as he shook taehyung's stiff body "taehyung, please I won't be able to forgive myself please" he begs as the tears kept falling down from his eyes "it's all my fault, I killed my own child" he cries out beating his chest with his flat fists

"Jimin" taehyung held his hand stopping jimin from hurting himself "it's not your fault baby" taehyung controlled himself but his voice cracked and it didn't take him long to break into sobs too hugging jimin against his chest, in a moment their whole turned around their biggest happiness got snatched away from them

If it weren't for jimin's sake taehyung would've burned down the whole world but the boy changed him completely rather than taking actions he thinks first, now he doesn't let the anger take over him because he knew what he's capable of if he decided to destroy the world no one could stop him except the only person who lives in his heart and owned him

While taehyung was feeling pure anger and frustration for not being able to protect his child jimin was feeling vulnerable and weak everything happened right in front of his eyes and he let it happen, "why am I so weak? Why can't I protect anyone?" He screamed against his chest

"no, you're not weak baby you are so strong you protected yourself the whole time when I wasn't there it was my fault I took so much time if I came on time we...we could've saved him" taehyung's voice was hoarse from crying he lost so much that all that was left was regret and the pain in him "don't blame yourself," jimin said clenching taehyung tightly and moving closer to him filling the emptiness between them

He couldn't even heal from the pain of losing his first child when the thought of his friends dying struck his brain "where are Jennie, jungkook, and jisoo?" He snapped his head up at taehyung, everything taehyung was going through aside and the pain he felt answering jimin's question,

"Ji-soo is..is injured but I know she'll be alright, jungkook... He- He's under treatment but his wound is very deep," he was trying his best to not make it obvious how critical the situation they were in, "and Jennie?" Jimin asked remembering the image of the bright gummy smile of his childhood friend that was soon replaced with the pale face covered in blood the last memory of her that jimin remembered

And it was silent again just like the first question. taehyung stayed silent making jimin break into loud sobs again "it can't happen we promised to meet again" jimin let out a painful whimper all of their happy memories were flashing in his brain cutting his heart into pieces if only he would know it would be their last goodbye he would never say it

The regret of not hugging her longer or staying with her longer was hanging in the list of hundreds of regrets, regret is the feeling you can't replace or do anything about it other than feeling the pain of it that slowly but surely kills you inside.
