I woke up to the sound of my brother Alex banging on my bedroom door. He always does this just to try to get on my nerves, but to be fair I do it too, just to get him back of course.
"Maddy wake uppp!!"
He comes in to my room and throws a pillow at me
"Fine. Actually go away, this is not funny" I replied still half asleep in my bed.
He left and obviously left the door open which really annoys me.
I quickly got up and decided to get changed, do my hair and makeup which took a long time. I didn't have time for breakfast so I rushed out of the door saying a quick goodbye to my parents.
I started to walk to school whilst putting my headphones in and finding a good song when my brother and his friends decide that it would be funny to surprise me. They jump out of the bush on the pavement which makes me scream and jump. I hit my brother and try to walk away but Alan apologises and asks if I want to walk with them.
Alan and I have a history. It's a hidden one obviously because he is my brothers best friend. I have known him for ages and he feels like a second brother but i guess I got really hot over the summer because he started to like me and I guess I liked him too. We had a secret relationship over summer keeping it hidden from everyone (apart from my best friends). He was nice and caring, but it was hard to keep it up so we decided to stop sneaking around, but I still feel for him a bit and I know he feels the same way.
As we arrived at school I found my friends and we walked to class gossiping about whatever happened in the last weeks of summer.
Me and Desiree split off to go to Chemistry. Whilst the others go to their lessons
"So Maddy do you like anyone at the moment, other than Alan.. what's new?" Desiree said.
"Hmm maybe..I don't know though" I replied with a smirk on my face.
"omd who" she blurted out.
"Shh shh, don't tell anyone but I kinda like this guy that joined last year but I haven't seen him all summer"
"Ooo mysterious, does he follow your ig?"
"Yeah actually, he liked my story a few days ago"
"You should talk to him, it might start something" She said whilst Elijah walked through the door late as always. "Speak of the devil.."
"Hmm i don't know. Its kinda complicated" You replied.
"Oh yeah. I swear he got like jumped in for los reyes a couple weeks back. Jack said, he was there when it happened"
"Yeah exactly. I saw the video on David's story, he handled it well at least" I say remembering the time I got jumped in.
"Well girl, you're really going for a Romeo and Juliet style romance. I wouldn't be too sure what everyone would think if ya'll started dating."
*the bell rings*
We pack up and head to 2nd period. Maths. Luckily enough Elijah is in my next class too.
I enter and look at the crowd of people standing at the back. I head over to my friend Ed and hope that I get sat next to him because I had to stand a whole semester last year next to some rando. "Bruh I beg he put us together" Ed says. "For real" I reply
"Right class, since we have had a lot of disruptions last year from some people, I am going to have to change the seating plan!" Said Mr. George
*the whole class started to murmur*
"Man this is shit" Leo says, getting agreements from the rest of the class.
"Yera and Christian here please" Mr. George said as he pointed to a desk.
"Maria and Jake here, Maddy and Elijah here"
I move to my new desk and get my stuff out whilst trying to avoid eye contact with Elijah.
"Miss you Maddy" Ed says waving from the front row whilst I'm stuck at the back. I laugh and turn towards Elijah.
"I'm Elijah by the way" He said.
"Oh, I'm-" You were cut off
"I already know who you are Maddy" he said, causing a surprised look on your face.
"You know who I am??" You reply looking puzzled.
"Of course, the whole school does. " He said
"And is that a good thing or a bad thing?" You say whilst laughing
"Whatever u make it. I also saw you around school last year." he replied jokingly.
"Oh yeah, you joined last year. Why?"
"I well..Got kicked out my other school"
"Oh right. What for?"
"Umm.. Selling guns in the toilets at reccess?" He says looking kinda nervous.
"Well that makes two of us" I reply back, leaving a shocked look on his face. "I didn't have to move school, nor do I do it anymore. Just to clarify.."
"You got me there Mads" He says
Mads. I don't really like people calling me that. Only family and close friends. Maybe Elijah one day..
Class finishes and we both walk out of class and say goodbye.
"AYO MADDY!" you hear your brother Alex shout from across the hallway
"What are you doing talking to him??" He said whilst towering you
"I was assigned to sit next to him, it's not my fault he was just asking me about the classwork!" You lie
"Hmm sure ,Next time i see that mother fucker talk you up, imma let him know what side he is on" He said whist his friends all nodded and agreed. Even Alan, I could tell he knew I had a thing for Elijah.
"There is no reason to threaten him, he is nice to me I guess" You replied
"He is nice, you guess?? What if he takes you to los reyes? What are they going to do to you then huh? Kill you?" He cut you off again.
"Whatever Alex. It doesn't really matter, not a big deal okay?" You said whilst quickly walking away from them.
~Time skip to the end of school~
*You walk out off the school gates to see your friends waiting for you*
"Heyy. I can't believe Mr. George didn't put us together, we would've been such good partners!" Ed said
"Yeah i know right." I reply and me and Ed walk home together
Ed has been one of my close friends for a long time. Since elementary. We are really close and hang out all the time. Nothing weird, we just chill together a lot.
"Wanna do something after school, like go out?" He suggests
"Sure" I reply
