I woke up to my mom shaking me.
"y/n wake up!" my mom spoke.
"you have to get ready to go to your new school." she continued.
I groaned.
"can you give me five more minutes?" I sighed.
"no you need to get up now." she replied.
I sat up as my mom walked out of my room.

I scrolled through TikTok for a couple of minutes before standing up to get ready. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, did my makeup, and then did my hair.

now I needed to pick an outfit to wear for my first day.

| this is what I chose for the outfit but if you don't like it you can just think of something else lmao |

I put on my black backpack, grabbed everything I needed, said goodbye to my mom, and then left.

the town was so small that I knew where the school was. my mom had already enrolled me.

I walked through the doors and immediately felt everyone's eyes on me. whispers filled the school. I tried to ignore it but I couldn't help but smile to myself when I heard multiple people whisper "she's pretty."

I walked into the office to get my schedule and figure out what I was supposed to do.

I walked up to the front desk.
"hi, today is my first day and I need my schedule." I said.
"you're f/n l/n?" the woman at the front desk questioned.
"yes." I replied
she printed out my schedule and handed it to me.
"thank you." I spoke softly.
"no problem dear." she smiled.

I left the office and heard the bell ringing, meaning I had to get to my first class. I was grateful that it was easy to find. yet again as I walked in I felt everyone's eyes on me. the teacher came over to me smiling.
"class, we have a new student!" he exclaimed.
"Why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" he asked, smiling.

oh god. I hate this already.

"um...I'm y/n." was all that came out.

everyone's eyes on me made me feel sick.

"Okay, y/n go sit down next to Scott. Scott raise your hand!"

a familiar face slowly raised their hand. it was the boy with the dark red hair that I saw yesterday. I smiled at him, taking the seat next to him. he gave me a small smile back.

scott's pov:

the h/c girl sat next to me. I quickly tore a piece of paper out of my notebook and wrote on it.
"hey"
I put the paper on her desk and watched her reaction. she smiled pulling out a pencil. after about 15 seconds she passed the note back to me.
"hey :)"
I smiled to myself.
"what made you move to this boring town?" I wrote and passed the note back to her. she read it and after 30 seconds of thinking she wrote something down and put it on my desk.
"divorce :/"
oh. I frowned.
I wrote back, "sorry :(" I put the note on her desk and waited for a response. after about a minute the paper was put on my desk.
"don't be. it's cool lol"
I decided to stop writing back.

your pov:

he stopped writing back. maybe I shouldn't have said that but it was the truth. there wasn't any other reason.

after 30 more minutes class ended and I got up and walked out with everyone.
"hey y/n!" someone called.
I turned around and saw the red-headed boy. Scott.
"hey, Scott." I smiled.
"wanna hang out with me and my friends at lunch?" he asked.
"sure." I responded.
"cool let me get your number so I can text you." he said handing me his phone.
I grabbed his phone, put my number in the contact then handed the phone back so he could do the rest.
"Thanks, bye y/n!" he spoke walking away.

I smiled to myself. I know absolutely nothing about this boy and I'm already catching feelings.
