Attacked by aliens

They ended up in the challenge field again.This time, everything was very different. There were space shuttles everywhere and they were shooting lasers, setting everything ablaze. People were running around, screaming, some even burning. 

"Come in the life saving shuttle everyone!" MePhone called out from somewhere. 

The four Bright Lights wanted to run but some alternate versions of themselves passed. They looked pretty messed up. Paintbrush had a deep cut in their handle, Lightbulb had a literal hole in her head, Fan had a part of himself torn off and Test Tube had a huge crack in her face. All four of them were either bleeding or already wearing a bandage. Test Tube and Paintbrush were the ones wearing a bandage. Paintbrush was carrying Lightbulb. Fan was carrying a first aid kit. His wounds weren't bleeding anymore.

"Hey, that's us!" Lightbulb exclaimed.

"I didn't even know objects could bleed..." Paintbrush mumbled.

"They can't, it's an alternate universe here." Fan reminded them.

"I know, I'm just... surprised." Paintbrush replied. 

"Let's follow them." Test Tube said. 

They all started following the alternate Bright Lights.

"Come on guys, run! Or the aliens will destroy us!" Alternate Test Tube said. 

"I swear, Fan, why did you have to keep that egg around? I knew Test Tube should've stopped you! Now look at you, they literally tortured you!" Alternate Paintbrush spoke. 

"He seemed like he needed a father!" Fan defended himself.

Eventually, they reached the shuttle. The Bright Lights followed their alternate versions. 

When everyone was inside, MePhone closed the door and went to turn the ship on so they could get away.

Alternate Test Tube suddenly noticed the Bright Lights. "Guys?"

The three alternate Bright Lights looked at her. 

"Look, there are... alternate versions of us."

They all looked. The Bright Lights and their alternate versions looked at each other, the alternate ones looking confused. 

"Hey guys, we are... travelers. We travel through universes." Test Tube said. 

"So you're saying alternate universes are real?" Alternate Test Tube said hopeful.

"Yep. In our universe we also encountered alien species, but we never got attacked." Fan replied.

"Guys, I think I'm seeing the light..." alternate Lightbulb spoke. 

Alternate Paintbrush was crying, still holding alternate Lightbulb in their arms. "No, Lightbulb, please don't die..." they whispered. 

Lightbulb heard it. She walked up to the alternate versions of herself and her friend and hovered above her alternate self.

"Hey, don't die on us yet. I'm an alternate version of you, by the way. But yeah, don't die, because Painty will be sad. Sad backwards is spelled das, and das not good, if Painty gets sad. Because if Painty is sad, I will also be sad..." Lightbulb said the last part rather sadly. She didn't expect to actually see an alternate version of herself die. 

Paintbrush couldn't help but feel a lump in their throat. 

"I'm sorry... alternate me... I-I can't handle it anymore..." alternate Lightbulb spoke softly. "G-goodbye... Painty..." her head then fell to the side as she passsed away. 

Alternate Paintbrush started crying. Lightbulb walked away slowly, back to her friends. Fan and Test Tube and their alternate versions were having a discussion about science and Fortnite. Lightbulb sat down next to Paintbrush and hugged them, small tears running down her cheeks.

"I would never want to die like that... I don't want you to be sad, Painty..." she spoke.

"Wait, can't MePhone just recover her?" Test Tube asked.

"Well..." alternate Test Tube replied. "Normally he can, but he's also pretty damaged, so at this moment he won't be able to recover anyone. Also, she died out of orbit, so he may not be able to bring her, or anyone of us who dies next, back." Alternate Test Tube replied.

Alternate Paintbrush started sobbing a bit louder. Lightbulb hugged Paintbrush close. 

"Can we please leave? Lightbulb is getting pretty upset about all of this." Paintbrush said.

"Good idea." Test Tube said. 

She opened the portal and all four of them stepped into the portal.
