You stare curiously at your favorite romantic novel keeping your face hidden from everyone as you wonder how it's even possible to fall in love. You never quite understood the concept of expressing such feelings toward someone, love let alone compassionate affection seems very foreign to you.
You were raised by parents who rarely bothered to notice your presence unless they were leaving for another business trip or needed to impress others with their educated and talented child.
Your wealthy status carved your reputation at (school's name) private school just like your fellow students. You always focus on your studies, grades, classes, extracurricular activities, and attendance.
You barely show interest in self-expression whilst your emotions remain secret. You gently flip to the next chapter in your novel, brushing your (h/c) bangs away from your bright (e/c) eyes.
Soft piano music distracts you from noticing anyone's presence and you make a wish on the cherry blossom tree located on the school's ground that someone (even your crush) could love you. You feel one of your classmates observing you closely like a lovesick puppy, an icy shiver going down your spine.
You arch an eyebrow in distaste at the very notion of someone watching you as you cast a glance at whichever student who dares to distract you from focusing on your daily studies. You hide your flustered expression within the pages of your novel, realizing your crush had arrived minutes late at his usual seat away from everyone.
You admire his quiet attractiveness in curiosity and observe his artistic interest just like you always do every day. You feel someone lightly tap your shoulder, your childhood friend's voice interrupting your childish infatuation. You locate the opened pink envelope you found in your locker early this morning within her grasp. Violet reads over the romantic letter whilst managing to alert your crush.
"Violet, quiet down. You can't just go through my bag whenever you feel like it. That admirer letter is none of your business. Besides, it's probably some prank done by other students who want to get on my nerves."
"Don't be mad at me, (Y/n). You shouldn't leave such letters sticking out of your bag. You do know pink envelopes usually mean romantic or fluffy confessions? Someone at (school's name) is madly in love with you. Did you forget that I've been your friend since we were children? Whatever is happening in your life past or present is my business,"
"Violet, I found the letter in my locker early this morning whilst I was heading to homeroom. This confession is only a bothersome pain. I already have a crush on someone in this class and I only want him."
You feel one of your classmates observing you closely like a lovesick puppy again as Aiden, your crush, snatches the letter from Violet's grasp before you can properly react. He reads over the confession, arching an eyebrow in disgust at the cursive words printed on the page.
Aiden has a tall and lanky figure with light blue hair framing his bright green eyes. A pair of light green headphones sit on his neck, giving you a deeper glimpse into his personality.
"(Y/n), I suggest you forget about this confession. Whoever wrote this clearly has an unhealthy obsession with you. Your secret admirer sounds like some creep or stalker,"
He crumbles up the letter and tosses it outside of an opened window right next to your desk. You avoid looking directly at him to hide your flustered expression, a lightweight settling against the top of your head.
"I'm sorry about throwing away your letter like that. I guess...I got jealous of another guy crushing on you. Would you like to hang out in the art room after class? I want to make up for my awful reaction just now."
"I'd love to."
He teasingly ruffles up your
(h/c) bangs, enjoying your adorable reactions/behavior toward him. The bell for your homeroom class to begin interrupts your romantic moment whilst your teacher motions for Aiden to take his seat."Your first lesson is about to begin. I hope everyone finished their reports over the weekend and that everyone is ready for the next chapter of our English studies."
