A day at home

It's about a year and a half since we moved into our house, Aria loves it, she loves the neighbors, she has two best friends and I'm not tryna be bad but back in Pensacola she barely had friends. Or she wouldn't go out but here in Atlanta she's going out every day playing out on the road or going off with her friends, only if there's a parent though, yes I know she's 13 but she's still my baby in my eyes. "Hey mom, can Cheryl and Lillie have a sleepover please" Aria asked me, I hate being the bad guy so I said "Well honey, as you know there's cameras in the house filming us for total divas, so unless there parents sign some papers and if they do you have to go ask your dad" I said to her "Do they have to sign papers" I said to the women behind camera, "yes just so we don't get sued for having other children that aren't yours and Jey's they have to sign a few papers" I nod my head and Aria runs up stairs, "uh Aria don't wake your dad wait until he comes down for dinner" I say from the bottom of the stairs. "But if I don't ask him now I don't know if my friends parents will let them sleepover" she said from the top of the stairs "Aria I'm warning you, don't wake your dad he's had a late night last night" I say she then huffs and sits down, "listen dinner is almost ready just give it about five or ten minutes and let him wake up properly then ask him okay" I said to her. She nods her head and smiles "That's my girl" I say and walk back over to the kitchen,  dinner is done and for dinner Today, I'm making something simple. Aria will eat some French fries and chicken, Jey will have the same while I have a salad. I gotta keep in good shape. As I take Aria and Jey's food out of the oven, I call Aria, "Aria go wake your dad and tell him dinner is ready please" I hear her feet run out of her room and into mine. Jey then walks down the stairs and sits at the table, I bring his food over to him and he thanks me by kissing my cheek, I smile and turn around and get Aria's food and bring it over to her. They both eat their food "Why aren't you eating" Jey asked me, "my food isn't ready yet" I said while sitting on the counter. He nods and continues to eat.

After dinner Jey is sitting in the living room when Aria walks over to me, "mom can I ask him yet" she said to me, "go ahead" I reply and she runs into the living room, "Dad, can my friends have a sleepover tonight please" she asked him, "Did you ask your mom" he asked, she nods her head and he looks in at me, he then gets up and walks into the kitchen, "Are you alright with this" he questions. "Well I mean we're in work tomorrow so I don't think it's a perfect plan but I could ask my mom and dad to stay the night, they can have the guest room, and then we can just leave early in the morning" I reply to him, "But what about their parents, they think there staying with us in the house, not your mom and dad" he stated. "Look, Aria, we can't have them stay over tonight we have work in the morning and plus if there parents don't sign the papers for their kids to be on tv then it's a no but. Next week when we have our day off they can stay over okay" Jey said to her, "but you always say that and they never actually get to stay over" she basically shouted to Jey "alright cut the cameras" I said and they did "Don't scream at your father like that" I say to her and she runs up stairs, "are you okay" I asked Jey, "Yeah I'm good" and with that I followed Aria upstairs, "Aria listen, I know we're not perfect parents okay, and I'm sorry our Schedules are busy but that gives you no right to be shouting in your fathers face, he loves you and so do I, and the last thing he wants is for you to be shouting at him about some stupid sleepover so, I'm sorry I have to do this, hand me your phone" she looks at me shocked, "Aria" I say in a stern voice and she hands it over to me. I leave the room and walk back downstairs, "I think you should go up to her" I say to Jey as I walk over to him, "is that her phone" I nod and he said "give it back to her, it's okay" I shake my head "No because if we let her get away with it this time she'll think she can pull stunts like that all the time" I say to him.
