naruto: the elemental kingdom

chapter 1: disappearance

during the mission with the bridge builder naruto had disappeared and strangely because of this zabuza momochi and his little accomplice stopped attacking kakashi doubted he chose to join them so it was more accurate he surrendered to the swordsman to protect his friends meaning that kiri just got another jinchuriki well if he was still affiliated with kiri

but this was a major problem either way the nine tails was gone and he had no idea where upon completing the mission he reported it to a not very happy hokage in fact the old man was fuming then he got a glint in his eye

"i know exactly how to make those bastards want the boy back" hiruzen sarutobi said as he snapped his fingers in glee he had not intended to reveal this until naruto was made chunin but now was left no choice

he revealed the heritage of naruto and what really happened the night of the kyubi assault this caused the outlook the village had on naruto to change drastically and shinobi was sent out to find the boy but with no luck even root was after him though they wanted him as a weapon but it didn't matter they couldn't find him

soon though things began to change the entirety of the hyuga clan just up and left the village for what seemed like no reason and it's not like hiruzen can stop the most powerful clan from leaving then he lost not one but two very capable jonin in kurenai yuhi and yugao uzuki, before losing an ANBU in yugao uzuki all resigned as ninja and left the village for parts unknown

after that happened kiri the war ended how all of the bloodline users in kiri up and left they stopped fighting they just left ame also just up and left and so did otokagure which really worried sarutobi as the second was the village of the akatsuki and the third was the village of orochimaru and they were gone iwa disappeared and kumo was also gone suna was the last to disappear five villages gone from the map and all but konoha was gone what was also scary was that also meant all the tailed beasts were off the radar

"danzo, i know you have a root in here spying on me get your ass up here we need to talk" hiruzen called a few moments later danzo came

"you haven't lost your edge i see" danzo said

"have you found anything i know you are just as worried about this mess as i and to be honest i will give you my word you speak truthfully i won't lift a finger against root until this crisis is diverted" hiruzen said

"no i haven't this is the honest truth my men say they just quite literally vanished there are no signs of them taking many steps outside their respective villages they are simply gone no power residue either whoever did this was extraordinarily skilled but what baffles me was there was no sign of conflict it's as if he took complete control and left with them i don't like this hiruzen i had control earlier now i don't i think whoever this unknown is they know of my root and are not scared" danzo said hiruzen sighed

"well danzo i guess we make use of them then, find out where they went use any means necessary" hiruzen ordered

"i already am" danzo assured and he wasn't lying
