(Melinda's POV ; Two weeks later)
It was officially almost the end of the first week of August. It was kind of bittersweet, because all the parades were coming soon, but that would mean summer is over soon. And that means going back to our real lifes. Which means going back to school. Ew. I sat on the couch, reading a book, when suddenly, the doorbell rang. I went to get it, but Madison and Jason pushed me out of the way. Two girls stood on the other side, and it must have been their girlfriends, because their lips immediately connected. Gab and Vinny walked in, and Gab squealed happily. "ANG! KAT!" Both girls disconnected from their boy, and ran to Gab, sandwiching her into a hug. "I'VE MISSED YOU BOTH SO MUCH OMG. ANDREA GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE." Andrea came running down, and joined the hug. They all stayed like that, until Gab realized I was standing there awkwardly. She squeezed out of the hug, and pulled me over. "Kat, Ang, this is Melinda, Mikey's girlfriend. Melinda, this is Kat, Mad's girlfriend, and Ang, Jason's girlfriend." "So nice to meet you!" Both of them hugged me. "Same to you." I smiled. The room got awkwardly quiet, until Mikey and Chris walked in, boh of them screaming at the sight of the girls. They tackled them into hugs, making me crack up. The girls went to put their stuff in the boys' room. It wasn't much later that we were all out on the boardwalk, heading to Fever. I danced close to Mikey. He spun me around, and left a soft kiss on my lips. "I love you so much..." He said, rubbing our noses together. I blushed, and smiled. "I love you too." He brought me closer, and continued to dance. The smile never left my face for the rest of the night. We headed home, and me and Mikey ended the night by cuddling. I sighed in content, and felt my eyes getting heavier each second. Before I knew it, I had drifted asleep...
