__________4 years later
he stood infront of the full length mirror, constantly adjusting his tie.
the brunet sighed dramatically.
"you look fine, chill out." they said while walking up beside him, patting him on the back reassuringly.
"easy for you to say." he mumbled.
"really, you look fine." his sister hummed.
george glanced at her and forced out a small smile.
he was stressed. he'd waited for this day his whole life and now it was finally here and --
he didn't know what to do?
was he going to trip while walking down the isle or worse, was he going to run away in tears before he even made it all the way down the isle like those blue eyed white girls do in cringy television shows?
well it was definitely a possibility and if that was the path the universe had set him on, then surely it was inevitab--
"snap out of it george davidson! i, your best friend in the whole entire world, have made all the preparations to make sure this wedding does not crash and burn." elise said loudly and proudly as she burst through the door.
elise had been a wedding planner back in london so she was familiar with this type of stuff.
"we, your bestfriends in the whole entire world, have made all the preparations." nick spoke up behind elise before highfiving her.
he grinned warmly at the two of them and how close they had become.
"does my tie look okay guys?" george said, turning around fully to face the group of four behind him.
"we've told you eight times already, it looks fine!" his sister and cousin said in unison, turning to look at each other in surprise.
"looks great." nick said sending him a thumbs up, followed by elise sending a thumbs up too.
"my baby is all grown up." his mother said in between sobs as she walked into the room full of people.
she walked over to her son and hugged him tightly, nearly lifting him off the ground.
"okay, okay! love you guys, now everybody out!" george exclaimed, shooing everybody out.
"aw! you admit it, you love us!" nick said as he walked out the door.
"we'll be waiting, good luck!" his cousin said as they also began walking out the door.
good luck? he didn't need good luck, he needed great luck.
____he was waiting behind closed doors.
when the music began he was supposed to walk through and head towards the end of the isle.
he was terrified. well? no, not terrified.
it was that same feeling you get in your stomach when your adrenaline spikes or when you get butterflies but in a slightly less pleasant way.
george had never been a runner. jogging a lap or two around the track in middle school gym class was enough to take him out, but right now he felt like running. running so far away to a place the adrenaline and butterflies would never reach.
