Everyone knew about what happened to this boy, the whole karate fight at the school. I've never seen him or anything but I know he's my age.

After my therapy session ended, I sat down on my bed. I sit there waiting, waiting for something interesting to happen. But alas, i couldn't stand the wait. So I did something about it.

Getting up, I sneak a look at my neighbor. A man was just leaving so I took my chances and left my room completely, heading straight to his.

Peaking in, I see that he's awake, so I walk just to where I'm in the room. "So, your the famous kid everyone's been talking about." He shots his head up at me, giving a confused look, "who are you?" Sighing I walk closer to his bed "the names y/n, you're Miguel right?" He nods saying "yeah, uh, how did you get in here. Wait why are you in here" smirking i go into a high pitch voice, imitating a fan girl "omg, I'm just like, your like, biggest fan. You're my hero, my muse, my other half-" cutting me off with a small laugh "a little dramatic don't you think?"

I take a look around the room to see gifts besides he's bed along with a tray of food in his lap. Stealing a grape I spill the real reason "I was honestly just bored, and I got in here by basically living here. And before you ask, I don't have a hospital gown because I'm not here for the same reasons most others are."

I nurse comes in and started doing a check up "well I should go, I guess I'll see you some other time." About to leave he called out to me, "wait, can I get your number?"

Obviously I gave him my number and we texted all night long.

Today Miguel is leaving, tomorrow, so am I. But before he leaves I enter his room. "Hey kid" shaking his head in disagreement saying "stop calling me that, we're the same age." I stick my tongue out, before speaking "your still a child."

We bicker back and forward ending in his mom coming in saying he had to leave. I walk him out as far as I could go, waving him goodbye.

Enter the house, I take in the new smell of fruit and weed. I thought to myself, home, this is my home.

I'd finally been released from the hospital leading to my aunt taking me to OUR home. She shows me my room, it was so white I didn't know how to feel. But I didn't really care at the second, it just felt good to flop down on a confortable bed, and just to have my own room.

I felt really good about this change, but I had to admit, the whole going back to in person school scared the shit pants off me. I tried convincing aunt Annie to let me stay online but she thinks 'it'll be good for my social life.'

A ding sound goes off. Looking down I see Miguel texted me. "SOS, help me!!" He only lives down the road but the only problem is that I don't have a license since I've been in the hospital all this time. I could just ride there. Bike or skating?

I make my way to the garage where most my things are and see my old bike. Oh yeah I'll definitely not fit on that anymore. Didn't really think about the fact that I've grown, standing at 5.6. I was happy with my height, wasn't to short or to tall.

Anyways, I guess I'll be skateboarding. Good with me.

Getting off the bed, I head to one of my bags that had some of my clothes in them. I put together an outfit, I had to admit, I don't really like my clothes. Aunt Annie has been buying my clothes for years now. She went off the style I had when I was a kid. But I'm not a kid anymore. I can get my own clothes, have my own style.

That doesn't matter right now though, I put on my bright colored clothes, and white shoes.
