"Mama, will you read us a bed time story?" A little four year old ruby questioned as her mama put her and Yang to be.
"Yae mom! Please!" Little Yang bounced up, her bed on the other wall from Ruby's, moving the covers off her in the process, undoing her mom work.
Summer giggled. "Alright, alright. But you better promise that you go to sleep right afterwards."
"We promise." The girls chorus together, going into a fit of giggles afterwards.
"Alright then, once upon a time long ago..."

"Dude, can you stop pacing." Came the sharp and gruff voice of Qrow, who was lying on the coach with his feet propped up on the armrest as he drank out of his flask.
Tai still pacing back and forth worryingly. "I can't help it Qrow." He shakes his head. "Summer told the girls that she'll be back in two weeks, and it's been two weeks. She wouldn't lie to them or us."
Qrow huffs out a breath of air in annoyance. "Its Sum, and even if she was in trouble; Rae would pull her out... maybe."
Tai stops and glares sharply at Qrow. "Raven wouldn't give a damn, especially about Summer of all people."
Qrow puts away his flask as he stands up and stretches a bit. "Hey I don't like what she did either, but Raven isn't that petty. We both know why she left."
Tai shakes his head angrily. "I dont need you to remind me." He spoke bitterly.
In the next few seconds, a red swirling portal opens in the living room, immediately setting the two husntsman on guard. A masked Raven Branwen steps through. Her posture rigid, and hand on the handle of her odochi.
"Raven." Tai growls, while Qrow looks to his sister with a mix of worry and caution.
Raven ignroes Tai's anger. "I no longer sense Summer."
"What?!" Both of the men question aloud.
"Why what happened?" Tai said quickly as he was walking up to her, only to have a red dust blade meet his throat.
"I dont know." Raven growled out. "I no longer sense her, and we both know what that means."
Tai stares at her dumbly for a second before looking down and backing away as his feet faltered. 'This can't be true.'
"And you didnt bother helping her!? You can sense when we're in danger Raven!" Qrow yelled out angrily.
Raven scoffed. "Maybe. But I wouldn't bother saving her, or any of you. I just came to deliver the bad news."
With that, Raven left in a swirl of red. Leaving behind two heartbroken men.

"Ruby wake up, it's time to eat. I think daddy is making pankaxes, and maybe cookies." The voice of a six year old Yang told her sister in bed.
Ruby quickly bolted up out of bed, any ounce of sleep now gone. "Yay! Cookies!"
Ruby quickly rushes to the door but has trouble twisting the doorknob above her head, so Yang helped her out.
Ruby rushes ahead and downstairs, with a pace far too fast for a four year old. Once she got downstairs, she met a distraught drunken Qrow sitting at the kitchen bar.
"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby squeals in excitement, rushing up to his legs as Yang came down from upstairs.
Qrow turns toward Ruby and gives her a small smile as he ruffled her hair. "Hey kiddo." Yang quickly comes up and hugs him too, her arms going around his waist instead of his legs like Ruby. "Firecracker." He says, this time not ruffling up her hair.
Yang backs up while Ruby still clings onto his leg, looking up at him cutely. Yang looks around a bit, her eyes landing back on Qrow. "Wheres mom?"
Qrow lips quickly flatten into a line as tears build in his eyes. "Summer isn't coming back kids."
"What?" Ruby says confused.

(Cue 'Red like Roses')
Oh the edge of Patch on the cliffside, the shattered moon shines onto the thick snow as night rises. And on that cliff was a teenage girl, fifteen year old Ruby Rose, she wore a black corset, and she also wore a red combat skirt, red hood, and black boots.
She sat crying in front of a grave stone with the symbol of a rose engraved into it, and the word 'Thus kindly I scatter' just below it.
"I miss you." Ruby sniffled. She stood up, wiping her eyes.
With one final look to the grave, Ruby begins walking away into the woods.
As she walks through the woods, shadows of Beowulf's follow her. And then she enters a clearing full of hundreds of Beowulf's. All young, with hardly any armour on them.
The grimm quickly rush at the girl, but she disappears in a shower of rose petals, and the grimm looks round confused for a second before looking up and finding the girl above them with her hood down. Now freely showing her dark red hair and silver eyes.
Ruby reaches for a red weapon and shoots down at a Grimm, killing it instantly. She flips over another one and kills it instantly. Her weapon transforms into a scythe, as she shoots more dust bullets at the monsters. She spins her scythe around a Grimm's neck, pausing for a moment before smirking and slicing it in half. The onslaught of Beowulves continue as the girl fights back with dust bullets and melee attacks. One Grimm manages to get a hit on the girl and she slides back, using her scythe to stop her. Ruby assesses the situation before reloading her dust cartridge, the flies towards the Grimm in an array of rose petals and dismembered the Beowulfs' limbs. She hacks and slices at the monsters, too fast for the human eye to see. And lastly with the final grimm dead, she looks back at the decaying bodys of grimm and collapses her scythe and putting it on her back.
She lifted her hood above her head and resumed her track home.

ReRWBY: With Bumblebee
FanfictionA rewrite of RWBY. Im going back to the beginning, and hopefully fix up a few things along the way. A reworking on a few of the villians, such as Adam and Raven. Because both of them were just disappointing. Can't promise they'll be written any bett...
