one: thin lines are blurred lines.

✰ Hate: \ ˈhāt \ verb : feel intense or passionate dislike for (someone). ✰

✰ Love: / ləv / noun : an intense feeling of deep affection. ✰

There is a thin line between love and hate. Oftentimes it can get blurred. That's why people break up. That's why my parents broke up, and their parents, and the cycle continues until they find another. Relationships don't always work, it's the circle of life, but after someone has been through enough, it's normal to give up. Trust me I should know.

"Can't, I'm way too busy." I sighed, guilt overriding my voice. "I'm really sorry, I know you really wanted to go out tonight! But I have to get groceries, finish up my laundry, and I have to go to the library to study and check out a few books for class. Besides, I don't think taking your 20 year old sister out to a bar is the best idea."

"It's only a bad idea if they know you're 20." Rhylee giggled. "But, I guess you are right. Love you, call me when you can."

"Of course, love you too." I responded, hanging up the phone and checking the time. "Crap." Quickly, I slide my phone in my back pocket and walk out the door, grabbing my tote bag that I use for school on my way out. I shut the door, lock it, rush my way down the two flights of stairs, and head straight for the library down the street. I decided I should study for about 2 hours, then go get groceries and do laundry when I get home. Then I could make dinner, and go back to the library afterwards if I have any time left in my day.

As soon as I get inside, I drop my books down the "RETURNS" book chute, and make my way towards the criminology section.

"Wow, you can actually read?" I hear a voice say from my left.

"Do you follow all of your neighbors to the library, or am I just lucky?" I retorted back.

"You're not lucky, just annoying, clearly." He said.

"Look bitchboy, do you actually need something or are you just trying to ruin my day?" I turn to him, tilting my head in an irritated manner.

"The latter. And I'm not following you, I just needed something for work."

"Aren't you a doctor or something?"

"Stop talking to me." He said.

"What's your problem? Why do you hate me?" I said. Spencer Reid made your blood boil. He literally hit my car! I have a right to be upset, but he doesn't. He hasn't even apologized, so he has no reason to act bitchy to me.

"Why do I hate you? I think you mean why do you hate me! From the day I met you, you've been a brat every single interaction we've had. So don't you dare try to tell me how I feel." He says, walking away. But you follow him. There's no way he was gonna have the last word.

"Or what? You're gonna cry? You literally hit my car on the first day I moved in!" I said, frustrated.

"I said sorry! Besides, that was like 6 months ago, and I barely even touched it! You're the one who insisted I don't pay for anything."

"I didn't think you would actually listen to me!"

"You infuriate me." I rolled my eyes and snarled before turning away and putting my headphones in. Thankfully, he got the hint and stopped talking to me while I walk back to the criminology section and go back to searching for the books I needed for this new semester.

"It's open!" I call out to my sister on the other side of the door. Since I didn't want to go out and party with her, she decided to come over to my apartment and help me study at the library

"This was taped to your door, got an admirer?"

"Who knows, put it on the counter, I'll read it later." I shrugged as my sister tossed the letter onto the counter, bending down to pick up Kai, my cat, as I laced up my converse. "Let's go, the library closes in two hours. Hopefully I won't run into anyone unpleasant again."

"Do you mean the doctor that you were talking about? The one that hit your car?" Rhylee asked.

"Yeah,"

"Maybe I'll get the chance to shove him down the garbage disposal like I promised all those months ago." She smiled to herself.

"I would pay to see that, honestly." You both laughed as you walked out the door, grabbing your bag and keys, and locking up the door.

"How's school going? I can't believe you graduate in a few months, my little sister getting her bachelor's degree! You've worked so hard for this, it's insane." Your sister rambled on as you smiled.

"It's good. I'm getting a new professor in psychology tomorrow." I replied.

"What happened to your old one?"

"Mr. Hames got offered a job out in Oregon, and his daughter lives there with her wife and kids. Said that he wanted to 'build a stronger relationship' with his grandkids. Understandable, but still, I am kinda worried about this new professor." I confessed, opening the door for my sister and I to walk into the library.

"You have nothing to be worried about. I know you love being a teacher's pet, but you are so smart and gifted, your new professor will have to love you." I give a heavy breath, knowing she is right. Let's be honest, if my professor likes me, then I am more likely to pass the class.

"Oh my god." I sigh as I look up, seeing Spencer Reid in my direct line of sign. "I have been forced to see a creature from hell twice in one day! My life is a literal joke."

"Is that him? Is that the neighbor?" Rhylee asks.

"Yeah, whatever, who cares." I say as I roll my eyes, walking over to my usual corner seat closest to the psychology section, which is right next to "Actor's Theory". Rhylee follows, making sure to walk extra slow as she passes Spencer, giving him a long heavy glare. He doesn't notice, he's too busy with his nose in a book to see two girls in their 20's giving him death stares. Besides, I'm sure he actually has a life and real things to worry about.

"Now I kind of feel bad for saying I wanted to shove him down a garbage disposal..." Rhylee says as the both of you sit down, still staring at the man who made you furious.

"What, why?"

"Because I thought he was gonna be this old, ugly, cranky guy, but instead he's this young, hot guy who strangely looks like an English teacher." She replies. I think about it for a minute, but I quickly come to terms with the fact that she's right.. The two of us look back up, only to see that he's gone. Somewhat relieved, yet confused, I look around to see if he's still in the area.

"Why do you two keep staring at me?" Spencer says, appearing behind us.

"Where the fuck did you come from?!" Rhylee jumps.

"We weren't staring at you, you narcissist, we were talking about school and you happened to be right in front of us," I replied.

"You are such a bitch," He grunted, turning around.

"What the fuck did you just say to me?"
