Walking to angel share
We were walking down from Cathedral as people continued to stare at me and getting a little scared from diluc as I look up at him seeing his always grumpy face as I giggle lowly..he raised an eye brow confused as I look away hiding my smile as he sighed not wanting to deal with me as we stopped at what it seems to be his famous tavern "you will sit inside while I work got that? And after that we will discuss your living arrangement" he said more like told me as I nodded as I sat down on a stool and looked around seeing adventurers knights and some normal folk I looked at diluc who was cleaning some cups mugs glasses as I looked down slowly falling into the depth of my thoughts until "here's a refresher" diluc simply said placing a cool drink in front of me as I smile at him starting to drink the juice apparently and my eyes widened at this delicious thing diluc stared as I grin widely at him as he looked down continuing he was doing....after the work for today diluc ordered a carriage to get us to his mansion...

No one POV
Y/n looked outside gazing at the beautiful stars that shined in the sky diluc just stared at him out of curiosity he said "it seems you even forgotten the little things" y/n was about to answer but he stopped as some bandits stopped the carriage as diluc went outside to fight them y/n noticed a swords as he got out "what are you doing?! Get inside!" Diluc demanded but y/n just ignored him as one of the bandit was about to attack him surprisingly y/n dodges and slashing into him as he got ready to fight beside diluc "not enough for both of us I see" y/n joked as diluc sighed going forward into them slashing into everyone as a ruin guard appeared out of the forest jumping at diluc and y/n pushing them back as he stomped and swinger his tall arms around. Y/n yelled out for diluc to boost him up to the ruin guard height to hit his weak spot diluc didn't make a fuss and did as he was told using his claymore to boost y/n up as the boy swing his sword across the ruin guard face making it fall down as diluc used his ult to finish the job "w-wow so strong" y/n blushed as he looked up at diluc as he went to him putting the sword where he found it and diluc stared at the boy for quite a while "you coming?" Y/n asked with a smile as diluc nodded sitting back in the carriage as if nothing happened "sorry for defying your orders...you could've handled everything perfectly" y/n said as diluc just stared before humming as an answer as the mansion started to appear in sight...

Y/n POV
Inside the mansion
"Wow this place is beautiful" I said smiling brightly like a kid as I notice diluc was talking to one of his staff as I noticed his famous desk "you'll be staying here for a while or until we figure out something suitable for you" diluc said as I nodded "yeah tots so true" I said as I walked and I saw his owl as I gently patted it with a smile "so cool" Diluc pulled my hand away as he glared "you can go sleep now" he said with anger and hatred in his voice or at least what seemed to me...so I obeyed and left to my room after I took a sweet shower of course and put on the clothing that was set for me as I stared outside and sighed looking down seeing diluc was outside staring at his field and rubbing his eyes as I went down grabbing a cup of water walking outside gently poking his shoulder "here's some w-" he slapped my hand away and started to yell at me saying how stupid and how can I be this dumb to follow simple requests I looked at him holding back my tears...he noticed and told me to go inside I went with it and went to bed....I guess it's not all happy rays of sunshine

The next morning
I was walking down the stairs cuz it's breakfast time even tho I don't eat breakfast....I saw diluc sitting at the head of the table as I flinched sitting down waiting for the servant to serve me something "about yesterday I'm sorry for bothering you when you were stressed I got a little worried and I-" diluc cut me off by placing a hand on my shoulder "I was the one suppose to apologize remember?" He looked a little sad and kinda disappointed with himself...I smiled and held his hand while blushing "well I am a stranger after all so you can't immediately trust me remember?" I said as he chuckled and the door open and boy it was cold and not the fun kind "well well what do we have here?~" it was keaya and I think I lost my appetite "suddenly I feel uncomfortable" I said and diluc was still holding my hand as he patted my head and went to "greet" keaya "what business do you have here?" Diluc asked and keaya pointed at me "he comes with me to Jean office now" that's what he said as diluc stared at me "alrighty then we'll be there after breakfast" diluc said and keay excused himself as I looked down at my feet "you don't think I'll be in trouble right?" Diluc eyes soften and shock his head "I'm gonna be there so no worries are needed" I looked at him and smiled as I got up going up to my room to change my clothing and come down to see diluc already waiting for me outside in the carriage "maybe they'll give me a job?" I said and diluc just shrugged as he went through some papers he was working with I yawned and rested my head on the window staring at the nature around the mansion as we slowly arrived at the city of mondstadt and of course keaya was there "what a terrible morning" keaya joked as he saw me get out of the carriage "it was when I saw you" I grinned as Diluc smirked in proudness and we walked in Jean office "good morning!" I said to Jean Lisa and amber "y/n you're here good....now time to get down to work" placed a hand on my shoulder "there happened to be a suggestion from the knights and I think it would suit you pretty great...if you of course like books and stories" jean said as I of course loved to read call me geek but I'm sucker for a good story "let me guess you want me to write something for kids?" She shock her head no but pointed at Lisa "you know Lisa right? She the librarian here and she in need of an assistant so I think it best for you to work with her" I looked at diluc then Lisa who smiled softly "of course if it makes Lisa work easier for her I don't see why not I shouldn't work with her!" Jean smiled and amber hugged me for some reason "we'll see each other every day and now we're totally should be friends!" Amber said as I hugged her back awkwardly and diluc pulled me out since the meeting was over "remember y/n tomorrow is your first day!" Amber yelled out before waving at me and I nodded smiling brightly "wow I thought I was gonna be thrown in a dungeon" diluc looked at me "a cutie like you?" I blushed as I punched his arm playfully and laughed as we arrived at angel share I looked around and saw Sucrose..diluc gave me the okay to go to her "heya friend!" I said to her and she smiled "h-hi y/n it's nice seeing you again" she said and I nodded before rubbing my neck "yeah sorry for yesterday and leaving too soon anyways what are you doing?" I asked and she showed me that she was trying a new chemical experiment and needed someone to hand her the vials which I agreed to her as a big explosion happened me and sucrose looked black as we started to burst into laughter seeing diluc coming in placing his hand on my cheek slowly cleaning my face "I'm fine just a minor error also I gave her the wrong liquid" I said and diluc just sighed at my stupidity telling me we're leaving early today so I can take a shower and apologized to sucrose "rude I look good either way" diluc chuckled "of course you'll always look good" i blushed again and started to get suspicious of him...he wasn't always this nice..what happened?
