Tuesday morning and the ray of light struck through the window straight in my face. I realized it was morning already and I questioned if yesterday was just a dream. All that went trough my mind as I layed there was the dinner we had last night with Joe and his family. It's been eight years since we were bestfriends, well more like long distance friends but why is it that suddenly I got a strange feeling around him. I'm with Tyler most of the time and never had that feeling with him. I think it may be because the lack of his presence, him returning may have made me feel different. I got up and looked through my closet to find an outfit to wear, for some reason i wanted to dress nice today surely it wasn't for the science fair we have going on at school. I decided to wear a short floral dress with some brown sandals. I took a quick shower, dried my hair and curled it. I applied some brown eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara. I went downstairs and did my usual routine except this time i went to Joe's so Tyler could pick me up there. Tyler didn't seen that excited that Joe came back for some odd reason. I walked over to Joe's house and rang the doorbell. "Hey Joe" I said.
"Woah Stella you look amazing" he said
"Umm hah thanks Joe" I said with a smile on my face
"Stella can I ask you something?" joe asked
"Sure" I said
*Tyler's car approaches and turns into Joe's driveway interrupting Joe's question*
"Hey Ty" I said
""Umm hey there Stell" said Tyler.
"Am I taking Joe with us too?" whispered Tyler
"Well of course..we're best friend right?" said Stella
"Oh, yea of course" he replied.
"Hey man what's up" said Joe
"Nothing much bro, good to have you back" replied Tyler
The ride to school was awkward I didn't know why. We arrived at school and went to our classes.
I sat in first period wondering what Joe's question was. I remembered we could send a candy grams to anyone we wanted to I planned on sending one to Joe saying to the best friend ever and one to Tyler of course. I wonder if they would send me one. It was finally lunch time and I would get to see my two amazing friends.
"Hey Joe" I said
"Hey Stelly" said Joe
"Stelly? You used to call me that when we were little" I said
"Hah can't believe you still remember" he replied
"I got older, i didn't loose my memory. I also remember when you pushed me off the swing one time" I said
"Hah we were kids being kids" Joe said
"Kids being kids don't push their best friends off the swing" I said with a blank expression
"Well I guess our friendship is different" he replied
"Hah one of a kind Joe" I said
"You got something on your shirt" He said
I looked down to see and as soon as I did Joe laughed said "Made you look"
"You jerk" I said
"One of a kind friendship" Joe said
"Hey where's Tyler" He asked
"Umm not sure, he's usually in here by now. Let's go ahead and get our trays and wait for him at the table" I said
*We grabbed ur trays and sat at the table*
"So Stelly how have you been? Any boyfriends I should know about?" he said
"Good, hanging with Tyler and a couple other friends and lately i've been into drawing. Boyfriends? No not really but there is a guy that I wonder if I like" I said
"That's great and who's this guy or are you gonna play hard and not tell me" Joe said
"We'll see Joe. So earlier you wanted to ask me a question? What was it?" I replied with a curious face dying on the inside to find out
*Tyler approaches once again interrupting*
"Sorry guys I was with the one and only creepy science teacher Mr.Henderson trying to set up for this lame science fair we got going on later" he said
"I'll tell you later" Joe whispered in my ear while Tyler starred at us with a puzzled look
"Tell her what Joe?" Tyler asked
"Oh umm about my school and life at my new school" Joe said
"Hey guys remember our childhood swing? Well how about we go back this afternoon to spend time like the old days?" I suggested
"Sounds good to me" said Joe
"Yea sure why not" said Tyler
We talked about our childhood and how much we had changed. I noticed Tyler and Joe finally talking more and making jokes at each other for the first time in a while. It made me feel a sense of happiness knowing that I have all I could ask for, my two bestfriends. So the day went by and it was time for this lame science fair. I walked around just waiting for school to be over so I could finally go spend some times with Ty and Joe afterschool but the day just seemed endless. I saw Joe walking with a girl from his science class and I wondered who she was. It was barely Joe's first days of school and he was already walking with a girl. I got jealous for a reason and as soon as I saw Tyler I went to hug him assuring Joe saw us. Tyler was quite surprised and asked if I was alright and I said of course why wouldn't I be. I felt so confused about this situation. I wonder if Joe coming back might have been a mistake or was it the right thing. I spent the rest of the science fair helping Tyler out with handing our brochures and helping people find specific areas. I lost Joe after I hugged Tyler, I figured he might still be with that girl walking around. The end of the science fair finally came and I was so anxious about this afternoon but I was dissaapointed Joe still hasn't asked me his question.
