Sparking

One month later...

"Well, if it isn't Optimus' watch dog!" Megatron said, stepping on me as I lay on the ground alone in a cave.

"Yes, and we should Terminate him to make a blow to the Autobots!" Starscream said, smiling.

"Not yet since Soundwave says that he's sparking, and with his loyalty to Optimus, I wouldn't be surprised if this sparkling is his!" Megatron said.

"We going to take the sparkling after he finally gives birth to it!" Starscream asked.

"Yes, yes we will!" Megatron said, smiling devilishly.

'No! They can't have mine and Wheeljack's sparkling!' I thought.

"Optimus! I have your Spark Mate, of whom is sparking!" Megatron called out over the chasm at the rest of the Autobots while I knelt by him and Starscream, Energon slipping from my mouth.

"I don't know where you're getting this information Megatron, but I'm neither Spark Bonded to him, nor am I the sire of his Sparkling!" Optimus said.

"Are you sure Soundwave?" Megatron asked into his com system.

"What?" Starscream asked.

"Soundwave said that based on the data he gathered about the Sparkling says it isn't part prime, so he and his Sparkling are useless to us!" Megatron said, pointing a cannon at my helm.

"Enough!" I heard Arcee state before she started firing and charging at us. The others charged as well and Optimus managed to get me out of harm's way.

"So, why didn't you tell us you were Sparking? We wouldn't have asked you to come out into the field!" Ultra Magnus said as we walked down a rocky path after the Decepticons were driven off.

"I didn't know until Megatron has had me on his warship and Soundwave said something about it! Plus if I knew, I'd for sure have told the sire beforehand!" I said.

"Who is the Sire by the way? And why didn't you and your Spark Mate come clean to us?" Arcee asked.

"We weren't ready to broadcast it to the whole base! We wanted to have something to ourselves and the adrenaline from possibly getting caught added to the thrill of it!" I said.

"Yeah, but you guys could have still gotten caught if we knew you and they were Spark Bonded!" Bulkhead added.

"Not really, because you guys would be extra careful, especially if one of you caught us, but not knowing, if we did get caught, the bot who caught us had a greater chance of not telling anyone in embarrassment, so there'd be an added adrenaline rush there!" I said.

"Makes sense!" Knockout stated.

"How does that make sense?" Arcee asked.

"Because I felt the same way when I was with the Decepticons and racing, at least with the Vehicons!" Knockout said.

"Hello Autobots!" A strange bot said, casting a little ball of light over us, a shield surrounded us.

"What is this?" Arcee asked, pounding on the shield.

"It's a type of Ray Shield that can only be shattered by the merging of Sparks of bots in love, and the more couples there are, of whom share a strong bond, the more powerful it is, but that's just crazy talk!" The other bot said, smirking and walking away.

"We're doomed!" Arcee stated.

"Hey guys!" Miko said, walking up to us with Jack, Raf, Agent Fowler, and June behind her.

"What happened to you guys?" Agent Fowler asked. Optimus explained what the bot said about the shield, what Spark Bonding means, that we reproduced like they did, but omitted the fact I was Sparking.

"So, there's nothing you can do!?" Raf asked.

"Only focusing on their love and breaking this shield can help us, and I don't see that happening here!" Bulkhead added.

'What do you think Sunshine?' Wheeljack asked through our bond.

'I say we have to try!' I stated.

'Just tell me when!' He sent back.

'Now!' I sent after collecting myself. I faced Wheeljack and held up my hand, of which he pressed his against mine, palms together, and I closed my optics, focusing on Wheeljack.

I felt my Spark skyrocket and it was soon joined by Wheeljack's, of which a sound followed by an explosion against the shielding. Not long after, a second explosion sounded and the shielding came down, meaning Optimus and Knockout joined us in trying to free us.

I completely collapsed from exhaustion and somehow, Wheeljack managed to catch me before I fell Face Plant first into the ground.

"Come on Wheeljack! Why didn't you tell me you were Spark Bonded with Ratchet?" Bulkhead asked while I came out of stasis.

"It's like he said, we weren't ready to tell anyone about us!" Wheeljack responded.

"Wheeljack!" I croaked out.

"Hey Sunshine!" Wheeljack said, kneeling beside me and took my hand.

"Sunshine?" Bulkhead asked.

"Yeah! When I called him Doc, he told me not to, and I said, 'Whatever You Say Sunshine' and it just stuck!" Wheeljack said, blushing.

"That doesn't sound like you Wheeljack!" Arcee said, walking into the Med Bay with the others minus Optimus and Knockout.

"Maybe, but I like it!" I said, placing my hand on his cheek.

"Thanks Sunshine!" He said, nuzzling my hand with a smile.
