"Faggot!"

"Waste of space!"

"Cunt!"

"Why don't you go kill yourself? No one would even care!"

These words were nothing new for Dan, especially as he walked down the hall at his school. Everyone seemed to put their word in about him as he walked, his eyes glued to the cracked ground under him.

6 years now, ever since he had started high school everyone seemed to have it in for him. He never really knew why, maybe it was just because he was different, he didn't even know why they thought he was gay or bisexual. Dan was just a normal 18 year old, the only thing was different about him was that he hated to interact with the others, finding it a lot easier to be on his own then to put the effort in and spend time around others.

'Well it's still your fault that you are fucked up. You really could kill yourself and have no one care. The question is why haven't you done it yet?'

As Dan reached his locker, which lucky for him was at the end of the hallway, Dan was somewhat relieved he hadn't had his daily run-in with a kid called Chris, one of the kids that they deemed popular in this hell hole, and definitely didn't lack in the muscle department, which wasn't the best when he decided that it was a good time to beat the hell out of him.

'Than again he will probably give me a big rougher up when we get to break you idiot, as if he would leave you alone' Dan reminded himself, which put a nice damper on his already sour mood. This morning was definitely one of his worst, having had woke up late due to his alarm being dead, and then he found out he had forgotten to even plug in his phone last night, lucky for him.

Grabbing the books he required for his first class, English, an actually decent class that was pretty quiet, and stuffed some of his text books in the bottom shelf and ignored a letter of hate as it slipped out onto the door. He chuckled quietly under his breath, how lame could they get? Ramming his elbow into the locker door it finally closed properly, ironically it was as damaged as he was.

Tugging down his sleeves a little further he cringed feeling the wool rub over his butchered skin. Hopefully they wouldn't start bleeding, in all his years his bullies had seemed to have missed the factor that he self-harmed and he wanted to keep it that way, no need to fuel the fire even more.

Dan looked both ways down the hallway. He was in B block, and his English class was in C block, hopefully he was able to it to the next block without anyone injuring him too badly. His dark brown eyes locked to his left and he quickly started to walk, bag slung over one shoulder as his books were held tightly to his other side.

The bell rang loudly, making the halls a rather bustling place. Pushing and shoving, the occasional elbow in the stomach or side made Dan cringe as he continued to push through the thick current of teenagers to continue towards his class.

His heart raced slightly as his eyes scanned the crowd, luckily not finding any of the usual kids who liked the bash the shit out of him, so he was in the clear so far. Dan's pace slightly quickened as he turned the last and final corner to his English class. Holding his books a little tighter he let out the breath the he didn't know he was holding as he noticed no one else in the hallway, so he quickly entered his class room.
