Shadows, screaming, pain, so much pain the looks on their faces as the stared in horror at the Half-blood child.
Maydeen bolted upright, in a panic, it was dark and the night bird was singing her song. She felt as if a warmth had been recently removed. May looked down, there was a dark hairy lump next to her she reached out and touched it, Saroff. Then she felt something shifting behind her, she turned to it and touched it. A strong muscular arm, Erak, May laid back down next to them it was warm, and she fell asleep.
When May opened her eyes she was alone, except for Saroff. She sat up and looked around Erak was tied to a tree with his mouth gaged.
"Maydeen Norel" that voice was unforgettably familiar, "now what is my favorite Half-breed doing with Erak Blood Axe?" May turned to the voice; Teron was leaning against a tree with her arms crossed.
"Ter? How did you find me?"
"The Elements go crazy for an entire night without the noticeable, obvious reasons." Then there was that voice, Kan-Ton.
May looked in front of her, he was walking out of the shadows. "Kan-Ton you too?" May asked looking at him, then she heard a loud mumbling coming from the other tree. Erak was getting irritated.
"May please don't tell me that you are going to save this killer," Kan-Ton questioned loudly as May crawled over to Erak.
"Well I am so either you don't listen, or don't watch me." May grumbled as she untied the gag in Erak's mouth.
"Are they friends of yours?" Erak asked looking behind May.
"How did they manage to get you tied to a tree?" May looked at the rope, she realized that they were not ropes, but vines.
"Well if they didn't use their Elemental magic on me I could have taken them."
"Don't kid yourself human, you wouldn't stand a chance." Kan-Ton said coming closer, until Teron's voice called to him.
"May, why are you helping him," She asked curiously.
"Are you okay Maydeen?" Erak was now looking at her face, "you went limp after we made into the forest."
"Haven't I told you before not to worry about me?" May still hadn't gotten the vines off, she was determined not to use magic and she wasn't going to cut them.
"Thank you but the way." She whispered.
"Do you need help?" Teron approached her and Erak. Then waved her hand over the vines, they fell limp.
"Maydeen we are taking you back with us," Kan-Ton said marching up to her and grabbing her arm.
"I'm not going with you." She tried to pull away but the young princeling held firm.
"Why not? Are you planning on turning your back to your Elementals, your own kind?" He asked roughly, May pulled her arm away Kan-Ton said too much.
"The Elementals are not my kind! I have no people to turn my back on," The storm had once again started to crawl up from the horizon, the half-blood took a deep breath. Twenty years holding it in, then in one night I let it out? No I won't let that happen again. "I went with the bounty hunter of my own free will, I am curious as to what the bounty is about. Do not get in my way." She stood and Saroff walked over to her, he was taller and appeared much older. "Saroff?" The panther looked up at her.
