Erak had nearly grown accustomed to traveling with Maydeen, now however he was barely tolerating their newest companions, Teron was constantly talking about seemingly pointless topics. Then there was Kan-ton he was the one Erak didn't trust; Saroff seemed not to like him all that well either he was awful friendly with Maydeen, this made the ruthless bounty hunter on edge and angry.

"Come May let me help you," He grabbed her hand delicately and helped her step over a fallen tree, her expression was blank as usual but her cheeks were slightly red.

"Thank you Kan-ton," She glanced over Erak and he turned away suddenly.

Why am I feeling this angry, he just touched her hand? He turned back watching as Maydeen walked next to Teron.

"This is exhausting," The Elemental complained sitting down on the fallen tree she just climbed over.

"We have had longer adventures Teron." Maydeen said reassuringly.

"Yes however you were the one that did all the walking, and hiking, and fighting I stayed in town telling the humans that you were the best in the business." She sighed, "Can't we take a break?"

Erak opened his mouth about to lose his temper when, Maydeen knelt down in front of Teron, "Climb on we can't stop now we have a long road ahead of us sister."

"Okay, thanks May." Teron said sleepily.

"Come Blood Axe you payment awaits." Maydeen didn't seem bothered in the slightest that her back was occupied back an Elemental Woman. Erak watched as May walked past him with the other one her back, Saroff followed then Kan-ton came to stand by Erak.

"She is truly amazing, how will you be able to turn her over to a bunch of killers, when she is so obviously stealing your heart." Kan-ton's taunting words echoed in Erak's ear, and then Blood Axe stepped forward and followed the Half-blood.

Stealing my heart? Stupid Elemental I have no heart. Erak thought stubbornly he looked up at Maydeen the Girl on her back was still talking non-stop, then the Half-blood turned and looked back at Erak. Her beautiful flowery eyes locked on his, and a mild smile was spread on one side of her face Erak stopped and simply stared.

"Erak are you alright? I hope you are alright I have no room for you on my back." Maydeen teased.

"What are you talking about? Are you calling me heavy?" Erak asked walking up to her.

"Hey Erak Blood Axe actually smiles." May said as she continued heading towards Janedo.

I have no Heart. Erak thought again as he walked beside May and her bright smile, I have no heart, yet I have never met her until now.

Erak and the others walked for many leagues, somehow Erak had ended up carrying the Elemental woman and Saroff was walking with Kan-ton on his back. Both Elementals were asleep; it was only Maydeen and Erak.

"Blood Axe, I believe it is time to make camp, Saroff is tired and I think you may need a break as well," her voice was sweet and soft.

"There is a small village just past those trees, we will rest there." Erak grumbled and the Elemental in his arms moved slightly then settled again.

"Do you want me to take her now?" Maydeen asked walking over to Erak.

"No, she is nothing compared to you."

Maydeen smiled, "Well If I knew I was so heavy I would have not let you carry me."

"Let me? Who said you had a choice." Erak teased walking forward towards the village.
