Rubbing your face of the blood, you tossed the now drenched towel on your futon.
You had made it to one of those Wisteria Mansions and was immediately ushered inside as soon as the people there found her.
At the moment a doctor was fixing up Moraka and checking up on Yuki for any other side effects from the antidote.
You were leaning on the doorway, watching the doctor finish patching up Moraka as he scribbled something down on a notebook. He glanced around before seeing you still there.
"Are there any other family members for these two?" He questioned while writing down a few notes on Moraka's condition.
You shook her head.
"Then I can take you as their caretaker for now, yes?" He asked before looking up at you.
You nodded.
He let out a sigh before flipping back a few pages, "Then I'll begin on the little one, her condition is slowly getting better, the poison in her system should simply be fading away, so don't make her move too much. Her fever will also be gone by tomorrow I presume."
You let out a sigh of relief and then nodded your head towards Moraka.
"Well about that one, she seemed to have taken a heavy injury on her right eye, it messed up the focus point of her sight, so I believe she won't be able to see through that eye anymore, unfortunately. The injury on her face that led to that was too deep, so it'll leave a scar as well." He sighed out sadly as he glanced back at the sleeping children.
You also glanced at them but just simply nodded to the man, seeing him go talk to the residents of the Wisteria Mansion about payment.
You sat down in between them, and let out a sharp whistle, seeing a crow outside the window. It swooped in through the open window and landed on your outstretched wrist.
The sound of bells from its talons made you aware it was your mother's crow.
The bells were wrapped around a scroll that was rolled up next to the crow's talons.
A smile slowly rose on your lips as you read through the letter and glanced down at the children beside you.
You pulled out your notebook and ripped out a page to send a letter back.
'After finishing my first mission, I have come across a even larger settlement or group of demons. It seems to be a larger organization that is handled by a lower moon demon.
After getting information from one of its security runners, I have noticed that they all have tattoos of red spider lilies on their backs. So if you come across one, try to use the torturing method you taught me because they are annoying stubborn.
Besides that I have already sent you a short summary of what happened but I am in a tight situation where I cannot leave these little girls alone.
I'm afraid I have grown attached to them, So I would like to ask you to take them in just as you have with me.
Moraka can help around the house and seems really good at chores. Yuki has shown interest in demon slaying but I don't think she would want any part of it after her encounter with a demon.
I will be leaving them at a wisteria mansion, so your crow can lead you to them if necessary to pick them up.
Sincerely,
Your daughter,
(Y/N) Ruins'After finishing your letter, you rolled it up and tied the bells around it securely. Giving her mother's crow one last pat, it flew out the window and into the night.
