I DON'T THINK HE'S A CRAZY COLD BLOODED TYRANT

CHAPTER 6

"My lady?" The old nice maid called me cautiously.

"Yes, Linda,"

"I might be overstepping my boundaries but I can't help but admire my lady's change in behaviour! you have finally started to pay attention to your environment, i swear am not looking down on you i-"

"speak your mind,Linda. its okay i want to tell you something as well"

"I was just saying that I have seen you grow, I have seen how everyone has treated you, how they would take your advantage," Linda was now in tears and kneeling on the floor, grabbing my hand.

"i have always seen you as a child i never had, and the past few days have been great, i have seen you grow"

"thank you, Linda"

"I just want you to keep being this way and I thought I'll tell you that you are doing amazing," she said, choking on her tears.

'I was so happy, I had no one to take care of me or think about me. I am so grateful towards her, I love her!'

"stop crying, or else you'll make me cry"

"oh i could never ,my lady"

'I hugged her hard, I wished my last conversation with my mother wasn't like that, I wish I could tell my dad that I missed him terribly. Though all of this is no longer possible, I have to live here and make this place my new home.'
'I forgot to tell Linda that I have lost my memory as my loss of memory was a sensitive topic in the imperial family, or maybe they didn't want any gossip surrounding me, either way I didn't care'

The garden that stood in sight was absolutely stunning. In the middle of the garden stood a fountain, the water shimmering like small diamonds flying in the sky and then drowning in the sparkling water returning to its real form. The butterflies were not just in my stomach but were swarming all around the garden adding more radiance to the flowers. My life has changed and this is my new life, the kind that feels totally  unreal.

"Seems like you are enjoying this new world?" he said mockingly.

"I didn't know you loved wasting time, let's get to business shall we? "

"straight to the point, eh? I like it!" I cringed so hard, God!

For the last few weeks Anson  and we have been  having a lot of  meetings where we would either silently be sitting together and doing our research. Here and there we would intaiate a conversation not just about the rebellion but also our personal lives, i haven't told him a lot about me. But Anson has shared about his friends in his troop and all about his plans. So yeah, we are pretty close now. Also i am no longer afraid of him, after 45 days of us continiously meeting each i have realised that he doesn't take any decision without thinking so as long as  I am useful to him, i will be alive!

I led him to the shade, and we both settled in our seats. The maids served us with refreshments, and I munched on the macrons aggressively.

"So you told me that you'll help me in becoming the emperor? what's the plan Amy?"

I felt butterflies when he called me Amy, why the hell did i tell him my name!

"Please don't address me like that as my name is Maria, please be courteous and respectful!" I gave him a death glare.

"oh fuck that!" he smirked. HE IS DOING THIS ON PURPOSE.

" since we are dropping all the formalities, how about we continue Anson?" i called his name for the first time, I could see he was amused.

"how about An then Amy?" he's taking advantage of that pretty face of his, i am not red right? I have to get used to him teasing me.

" So what is your target?"

I put a dozen of books on the table, and spread several maps for reference and better explaination.

"I am thinking of becoming allies with the Mecklers, they have a great business in silk. Also that they are not in favour with the current monarch as, he is putting way too much tax on his goods  because of his good profit," he said seriously.

"Also because they have good relationship Sir Agath?"

"Yes, what do you think?"

"To be honest it is a little hard for them to agree to your proposal right now as you have an army of just 5000, and if you get their support it'll increase to 15000. Why the hell would they agree to someone with less power? I know about the great connections with Sir Agath. but we can't forget that they are sly foxes, and they might expose you to the imperial family to gain favour!"

"so?"

"Go for the Lemaricks instead"

"they are weak financially and they don't have any courage to go against the imperial family"

"You are forgetting that they are agriculturally rich and with a little investment can set up a way to create spices on large scales. And that will yield great results with very little effort!"

"so you are saying we become partners, we will give invest in their business and ask for 25%? and later take men from their kingdom?"

"35% is what we will ask for, and also that they have a bad relation with the imperial family as they are responsible for the execution of a lot of their family members"

"what? how did they manage to execute their family members legally?"

"well it's partially legal, the real intention behind the executioning the members was because they were smart and could overtake, with their land which is extreamly fertile. and that their land can lead to great business of export and import! "

"So if we create an alliance with them we will be benefitted not just financially, but also  increase the number of men in the revolt but the best part is that they will also be our faithful benefactor?"

"yeah!" I said as I sighed, I was tired. It was very hard to look at family histories, their economies, and the maps! The maps were a mess.

"ay smartypants! good job, you have no idea how awkward it was looking at a dumbass speak with such intellect in their speech! crisp and straight"

"how dare you call me a dumbass?"

"Oh not you, you are my little scholar. I am talking about the old Maria,Amy. what would i do without you?" he added smiling goofily.

I showed him my middle finger, and he was dying laughing, I laughed along with him. I can't believe my relationship with him has gotten this good.Lets hope he stay like this forever man.
