Bete could be seen sneaking away from the sleeping duo, as he slowly made his way towards the shimmering river, before sitting down on the riverbank. He let out a small yawn before rubbing his eyes on his sleeves, due to recently waking up, his ears perking up at the sound of the soft chirping of a small bird. He quickly glares at the bird before getting up and walking back to the makeshift camp, where Naofumi was awake and waiting, causing him to yelp and he slipped and landed on his tail.
Naofumi: and where did you run off to?
Bete: tch... No where
Naofumi: Next time let me know first *He slightly glares at Bete*
Bete: yea yea whatever, how long has the pip squeak been asleep anyway?
Naofumi: she'll be awake soon enough
Bete groans before walking over to the sitting form or Naofumi and collapsing onto his lap, deciding to be annoying, before tensing as Naofumi starts petting his head.
He lets out an annoyed growl before realising he can't really do much against the actions of the male so he scowls as his tail sways slightly.
Bete: any plans today or what
Naofumi: Fighting monsters and leveling up the normal?
Soon Raphtalia wakes up.
*Skip to after fighting monsters for the day*
Bete: geez those monsters were trash..
Naofumi: Bete..
Bete: what I can't say trash is trash?
