Unohana walked out of the surgical room to see Miwa pacing only to stop to look at Unohana.
"he's alive and stable for now, though we have to keep a close eye on him considering his condition could change at any moment, if you want you can go see him" Unohana explained.
Miwa walked past Unohana into the room to see Haruki covered in bandages breathing heavily pain spread across his face. She placed her hand on his cheek resting her forehead against his. Unohana watch from the door, worried about the girl. That boy was the only thing she let herself care about anymore.
Miwa lifted her head as a tear fell onto his face as she struggled to hold back her spiritual pressure, the small amount that escaped was crushing causing Unhana to cringe knowing the pain she was in for this to happen. Miwa was known for her control over her spiritual pressure, it was one of the reasons she was underestimated because she always hid the true power she held. But for her to even let this amount out mean she wasn't in control of her emotions.
"You'll be okay Haruki," Miwa mumbled.
"I have to leave soon to make it to the execution," Unohana said.
Miwa nodded as Unohana left. Miwa had almost forgotten the execution was moved once again to today, not to mention all the fights that had happened during the night. Though Miwa didn't care, all she cared for was finding out who did this and making them suffer. having memorised the spiritual pressure there all she needed was to be faced with the culprit.
She rose to her feet returning to her office to grab her zanpakuto's before heading to the execution grounds once she did arrive she stood before the kido corp member who was on edge hearing about Haruki.
"Grand kido chief is vice kido chief okay?" They asked.
"don't worry about him. he will be fine, so focus on today. Now get Rukai ready to be moved to the Sōkyoku Hill," Miwa said.
They were on edge seeing her here, and with her zanpakuto's something she very rarely carried around, it was just a reminder of how serious this whole thing was. they began transferring her and Miwa sighed sensing Byakuya and Renji fighting. She looked in that direction her eyes narrowing, Renji did not have the strength to beat Byakuya even if he has achieved Bankai, he need a lot more time to perfect it to even hope of beating Byakuya.
Though once he did lose she had no doubt in her mind Rukia would blame herself even more. Though she didn't have time to worry about that. And just as Miwa predicted Renji lost just as they finally began moving Rukia across the bridge and that's when she noticed it was Renji. Who was on the brink of death. Alive but barely.
Miwa watched Rukai as Her eyes narrowed seeing Gin walk towards her. And Miwa grew irritated, knowing he wasn't the one who injured Haruki but as someone who often snooped around in her business. And then the question of what business did he have here with Rukai.
She watched and listened as he offered to save her, putting the kido corp on edge, only to rip away the little ope he gave away from Rukia walking away leaving her broken. It was cruel what he did. He crushed her resolve so easily, toying with her. He was a snake. a snake Miwa which to cut the head off.
They finally moved her to the hill and Miwa sighed seeing no one around other than them as she fell to her depressed her resolve was so weak. Miwa jumped down silently as Rukia's eyes were closed shocking the corp members causing Rukia to open her eyes and looked up at her shocked.
"Who are you?" She questioned.
Miwa just kneeled down in front of her taking her chin in her hand making Rukia meet her gaze, freaking her corp members out considering she never did anything like this.
"who I am does not matter, I'm here to give some advice. Do not let that man break your resolve any more than he has. And just so you know, i do not believe these actions to be justified. What you did may have been against the law by why you did it was what soul reapers are meant to do. You gave your powers to that boy to save him and his family. to protect the living. It's admirable how far you went to follow that basic teaching, so hold your head high knowing that," Miwa said.
Rukia looked at her shock at a loss for words, no one has ever told her that, and it calmed her knowing someone thought that. The corp member looked between the two unconsciously gaining newfound respect for Rukia not realising just why she broke the law and seeing their leader so earnestly praise her for her actions. Miwa roe to her feet looking to the sky.
"so keep your head high Rukia Kuchiki, because you did the right thing," Miwa said before she began leaving.
"thank you," Rukia called out.
Miwa looked back a Rukia a sad smile coming to her face that no one could see.
"I'm sorry," She mumbled so no one could hear.
