"I'm sorry, Draco, I know how hard it is on you to be moving around so much."

"Its fine, Mother." Draco reassured her gently.

"Come on! Its time to go!" They heard Lucius calling from the living room.

He took one last longing look at his room. They were currently in Cochem, Germany, and were heading to Seabrook, New Hampshire. They had yet to move to the United States of America and Draco would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous.

He grabbed the last of his bags and headed out to the idling car that would take them to the airport.

Climbing in he looked out of the window as the house grew smaller until it disappeared from sight.

Arriving at the airport and going through the familiar routine of security. Which, unsurprisingly took forever.

He gratefully fell asleep on the flight and they were soon transferred to another flight that would take them to Portsmouth, only about 14 miles from their new rental house.

It wasn't that they couldn't afford to buy a house, hell, his father could buy the whole city if he wanted.

Lucius just didn't see the point in buying a house if they were just going to move again.

They walked into the already furnished home and his mother directed him to the room he would be occupying.

He made his bed and collapsed on top of it, giving into the pull of exhaustion.

It wasn't the first time they had moved on his birthday, and he didn't even feel sixteen.

Hermione watched as Mr. Johnson introduced the new kid.

"My name is Draco Malfoy, I moved from Cochem, Germany about two and a half months ago, but I am originally from Great Britain." He spoke quietly and kept his head down.

"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy, you will be seated next to Ms. Granger. Ms. Granger, please raise your hand.

She raised her hand signaling to the empty seat next to her.

He sat down and started playing with the rings on his fingers as she turned towards him.

"You're a Brit too?"

He looked up at her and nodded.

Oh? So he was shy...Hermione found herself immediately thinking this kid was adorable.

"I'm Hermione Granger." She stated, holding her hand out to the blonde haired boy.

He gave her a surprised look and then gave her a closed lip smile and shook her hand.

"Its nice to meet you."

Mr. Johnson continued with the lesson and when the lecture was concluded she gathered her stuff and once again turned to her blonde haired seat partner.

"Hey, do you want to sit with me and my friends and lunch? Then maybe I can show you around the school a bit?"

A smile - a true smile - graced his features and Hermione almost couldn't hold back the gasp at how good a smile looked on him. It made his grey-blue eyes pop and his defined jaw more pronounced.

"I would like that."

"Okay, I'll see you later, Draco Malfoy." She smiled and left the room.
