If I was to make a sonic fanfic should the main love interest be Nicole or have it be a harem?

OR
B:HAREM
And plz be truthful the main reason why I ask for if it should be Nicole is kinda really simple Nicole isn't shipped / dated anyone in the sonic comics and I want to be fair with sonic he deserves Sally.
