Sean walked behind me, trying to stay quiet to hear any footsteps coming our way. It seemed like walking for hours after you broke some glass. It might end up in your foot after you thought you picked all the shards up.
"I think the coast is clear, but we better not head back to camp, I don't want them to find us, especially Dutch." I stated.
Sean nodded. "By the way, how'd you meet the bastard anyway? You two seem to know each other."
"Eh, it was so long ago I can't even remember half of it." I shrugged. The two of us stopped walking and sat down, exhausted from running around.
"Why the hell did you do it?" I asked.
"What did I do?"
"Start shooting all the sudden! You coulda gotten yourself killed!"
"To show ya that I could kill em and get the money in no time. Guess that didn't work, did it?" He chuckled to himself.
I sighed as I sat up. "C'mon, we need to set up camp before its dark." I reached out a hand for the irish man to help him up, and he obliged, perhaps a little too quickly.
"Do I still owe ya those beers? Cause I don't got money right now." Sean laughed.
"I said if all goes according to plan. This," I waved my hands around. "This ain't according to plan." I huffed. We strolled down the path a little further before finding a place to camp. Sean kept on yapping about everything and nothing all at the same time.
"And then I told 'em 'I'll blow yer fuckin brains out if you don't do what I say!' an' Dutch says 'okay, do it.' So I did! I tried shootin the old bastard but he took out all my bullets of my gun when I wasn't looking!" Sean ranted.
"Okay, enough with the chit chat. You go find some food and ill make camp." I appointed.
"Why don't you do it? I deserve the break after saving your ass!" Sean whined.
"'Cause you're a better shoot than I am." I rolled my eyes. I'm guessing that made him feel better, because he perked up and went to look for some food.
I exhaled and sat down. That man can sure talk alot, but it was fun to be around him. He always knew what to say to get a smile on your face, even if you hate him. I guess that was one of the most useful traits you could have.
I set up the camp and lit the campfire, letting the heat coming from the flames heat me up since it was getting darker and colder outside.
Sean stumbled to the camp, beer crates in each hand, and he looked as happy as ever.
"Where the hell did you get those from? I thought we was getting food!" I sighed, irritated at the irish man.
"Fuckin bounty hunters left their camp unchecked! How lucky are we?" Sean grinned, lifting up the crates.
"Do you get any food though?"
"Sure as hell I did." Sean laughed. I was pretty sure he was a bit drunk. "Okay maybe not, but hey! We can drink all night if we want!"
I hadn't been the 'drink all night and party' type of person, but I definitely needed a drink after the stagecoach accident. I took off the lid on the beer and took a sip of it.
Sean wasn't exactly the company I'd hoped to camp with. I'd rather stay with Charles or Arthur. They were both quiet and kept to themselves, but Sean was hell of company when drunk. He tried to sing but always started laughing in the beginning.
He also tried to run off 'because he saw a ghost' a couple of times, but always falling over after a couple steps. And 'just to be safe' he asked me to shoot his pistol so it'd 'scare away the ghosts'
"Holy shit! That'll teach you, ghosts!" Sean drunkenly yelled at nothing.
"Sean, youre drunk enough, lets head to bed." I demanded.
"Im not gonna go to bed! You go to bed!"
"I don't know if that's supposed to bed rude or what." I shrugged.
"I don't know either!" Sean laughed.
"C'mon you drunk. Time to get in bed." I grabbed the drunk and basically dragged him back to the campfire.
"Who's bed should I be in?" Sean teased.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not in the mood for you to flirt with me MacGuire! Get to bed."
"You're not my da! I ain't going to bed till I say so!"
"I might as well be, 'cause you're acting like a little kid!" I smiled.
With that, Sean abruptly fell over,he was lucky I was holding on to him or else he'd have less brain than he already has. "You alright?" I managed to say without a snicker.
Sean laughed and tugged away from me, yelling "Catch me if ya can!" Quickly, I ran after the drunk idiot. Sean, being drunk and all, almost immediately fell over. I didn't see him fall and tripped over him myself. We both broke down in laughter seeing the two of us on the ground.
"Okay, will you now go to bed? I'm tired." I yawned.
Sean rolled his eyes, but then yawned. "Sure thing darling." He finally said.
I helped the Irish man up and yawned once more. "How the hell did I let you get this drunk?"
"All I know is that you shoulda gotten drunk with me, it would've been much funnier." Sean laughed.
"And see ghosts all night? Hell no!" I laughed.
"Well you'll definitely get drunk with me one day~!" Sean smirked.
"One day maybe, but for now, go to fucking bed!"
