A Plan and More Confusion (chap 2)

He exited the alleyway heading to the nearest police department to turn in the criminal, leaving me just to stand there with my thoughts. I was so very confused and stunned with all that he had just said, and how he didn't seem freaked out by seeing me it was as if it was normal? I felt that odd silence within my head again, but I couldn't quite recognize why it was odd in the first place. until realization hit me. Sun.

...

Sun is pretty much my opposite and his characteristics are the opposite of mine. yellow pants with red horizontal stripes, a sun faceplate with sun rays protruding from the sides, and his colors mainly being different tones of yellow other than some metal like his arms.

He hasn't spoken to me since "we've" arrived here. It was strange usually he was pretty much nonstop talk, but now complete silence. It was unsettling, very unsettling. Especially now after all that's happened and that we're in a totally different location no we're near the pizzaplex. I would expect him to be at least yelling at me about the violent action that I just took or at least trying to get me to explore around. But he wasn't.

Was it possible he was asleep? Something told me he wasn't but I decided I should just settle on that for now because I had more worrying matters to attend to. I had to figure out where the h3ll I was and what is should do next considering the worrying I had just gotten and how he didn't flinch at my appearance. However, the two things that stuck to me the most confusion were what the heck was a quirk, and pro heroes? that didn't stick for long though as a warning screen flashed across my vision.

*Low Power*

*Get to a charging station immediately*

Shoot! how could I have not noticed! this was bad, very bad. I immediately tried to think of the quickest solution until I remembered the hatch on my backside or the emergency power cord. so I reached to look for the hatch but- nothing was there? "W-What? i-t should be right here?!" I stated to myself in a low whisper yell.

I was flat out confused, more if I couldn't be already. I checked my system options which seemed smaller than they were before and looked in emergency recharge options. there I found what I was looking for, although it shocked me what it said; Sleep mode.

'Sleep mode?' I thought to myself. 'how was that supposed to help me recharge?' but it is my only option...  so I gathered stuff that was scattered around me in the alleyway to hide with and once I was covered to the best of my content I set my system to sleep mode setting a timer for the recommended 8 hours that it told me. The recommended hours that a human should sleep for to get a healthy amount of rest.

...

I awoke to the sound of the alarm I set and small streams of sunlight making their way through the makeshift blanket/hiding spot of junk. I didn't move, but I did check my power status and surprisingly it was back at 100%. I decided to not question this though since it at least solved my charging problem.

However, as quickly as the relief from this started to wash over me it instantly subsides as my mind shifted to the new problem at hand. Sun's absence and the fact that it was now daylight.

My mind went blank, not knowing what to do in this situation but thankful that the trash that covered me only let in a few strands of light not hitting any possible light sensors that were hidden on the backside of my faceplate/neck. All I could do is think of all the possible negative outcomes that flooded my brain if I did switch and my counterpart really was... asleep. I would have no control causing "us" to be a sitting duck.

This train of thought went on for some time, with me being lost in it and occasionally wandering back to the events of last night, but I eventually came to two conclusions. Well, I guess more of a two-part conclusion considering I couldn't exactly be "introduced" to light. This was that I would be in a rest state so that I could still be aware staying put so I didn't risk anything till night falls. Then at that time ill be able to roam around and try to find a scarf or something like a handkerchief to cover up my neck or the light sensor so I'm not affected by the sunlight. So I started the first part of my plan and played the waiting game, which honesty it was already starting to bore me, even in a rest mode since I/my system was still conscious to stay aware.
