Chapter-06

"Sunghoon, you're spacing out."

Sunghoon blinked, turning his head to Jungwon, "O-oh, sorry."

He sighed, patting Sunghoon on his shoulder, "You want to get some fresh air?"

Sunghoon slowly nodded, "T-that would be nice."

They then made their way outside and went downstairs, strolling around the building until they finally decided to sit on a bench.

"Look. the moon is shining bright tonight." Jungwon said.

Sunghoon stared at it, admired its beauty, "Yeah. But every time it shines so bright, it's always the worst of the worst for me."

Jungwon looked at Sunghoon, grabbing his hand and squeezing it. "Hey, maybe because it's a sign that even tho there are bad things going on your way, there is still light shining beyond your path."

Sunghoon sighed, "Is it really like that?"

"Mhm, I believe it is."

Sunghoon bit his lip, feeling his eyes slowly form waters. "It really is peaceful at night, isn't it?"

"Sunghoon."

"Yeah?"

Jungwon nodded, "It's okay. Let it out."

And that's when Sunghoon started to break down. Tears fell down his eyes. He had to cover his face and cry it all out.

"Why? Why is this happening to me?"

Jungwon pulled Sunghoon into a hug, patting his back as he hush him. 

"Bright things are waiting ahead your journey. This is just the beginning."

Sunghoon held onto Jungwon's arms tight, letting all his tears fall. "Jungwon, it hurts... I hate this feeling. Why... why did I have to fall in love with him?"

"It'll be okay..."

"All I wanted was to find true love and yet... this is what I get? Is finding true love a bad thing,Jungwon?"

"It's not."

"Then why does it seem as if it's against me? Why is it that I'm always getting picked on? Don't I... don't I deserve love?"

"Sunghoon, don't say that. Look, maybe Heeseung Hyung isn't just the one for you. It was his choice to leave you hanging, and it's his lost, not yours. You did not lose him, he lost you. He lost such a precious gem like you."

Silence...

They stayed like that for some minutes until Sunghoon finally managed to calm down.

"Jungwon, I guess true love isn't just for me."

"Sunghoon, what are you— no, no, no. Don't say that."

Sunghoon gave him a smile, shaking his head, "This is enough to prove myself wrong. I... I give up trying to convince myself that someday, i'll be able to find someone who will truly love me."

"Sunghoon..."

"It's fine, I'm fine. I was actually scared this day would come... but it eventually did."

Jungwon held both of his hands, staring at his eyes sternly, "Then I'll come with you."

"Jungwon—"

"No,Sunghoon. We've always been together since we were young. We've passed through challenges and hardships together. I'll always be by your side no matter what, and that's never gonna change."

A genuine smile formed in Sunghoon's lips as he nod, "Okay."
