I glanced in the mirror my icy blue eye's staring back. I studied my long blonde curls that flowed smoothly Down my back. I quickly touched up my wing tipped eyeliner and scooped up my purse heading out the door. "Karissa?" a voice shouted . I pulled my hands off the car door handle quickly following the voice. "oh hello" I smiled at my neighbor lucy. "You look rather fancy what's the occasion?" she asked. "hanging out with shane" I grinned Shane was my boyfriend he was as sweet as they come. "oh you better go then have fun!" She gleamed pushing me back to the car. I parked my car in front of his small flat and jumped out . I slowly opened the front door "Hey Sha-" I stopped dead in my tracks. There was my boyfriend cheating on me I felt tears stinging in my eyes they burned like fire. "Karissa I can explain" He said looking over at me. "Save it" I screeched running out the door down the steps and into my small car. I wasn't mad I wasn't sad I guess I just was disappointed and hurt. I felt stupid for ever giving him another chance. He cheated on me once and I let him do it again. I didn't want to waste away my time crying about it but I couldn't get it off my mind. I decided to go to a small local pub to get a few drinks and maybe watch some football. I got all dressed up and i wasnt going to waste it. " A beer please" I smiled at the waiter as I pulled myself onto the seat. "I'll take the same as her" I turned to see a blonde haired blue-eyed boy probably around my age of 19 smiling at me. I ignored his cheeky grins and watched the game. "Oh c'mon" I groaned at the tv. "You like football?" The boy asked. "Yeah" I nodded taking a drink. "By the way I'm Niall" he held his hand out to me. "nice to meet you Niall" I said placing my hand in his shaking it. "Your name is?" He looked stunned that I hadn't told him it already. I pulled my hand away shaking my head. "wouldn't you like to know" I grinned. "Damn feisty one" we both laughed. "Karissa is my name" I said still laughing. After a few hours and a few drinks ...okay maybe a little more than a few.. My head started throbbing. I turned stumbling off the bar stool heading to the door. A muscular body stepped in front of my path. It was Niall "move I'm going home" I demanded lifting up my arms to push him away but he grabbed my wrist. "not like this....keys please" He protested holding out his hand . I reached for my pocket but stopped he cant boss me around. "no" I said irritated. Without a word he reached his muscular arm around me slipping his hand in my back pocket getting the key's himself. I gasped "You made me do it the hard way" He laughed tugging me along to the door. The car ride filled with silence. I drifted asleep the alcohol making me exhausted. I felt like the world was spinning I forced open my eyes to see my face burried in Niall's chest He was carrying me bridal style. I shifted slightly and he tightened his grip "go back to sleep" He ordered laying me onto a soft bed. I was to tired to object instead I curled in a tiny ball pulling the blankets closer to me falling fast asleep.
"Ugh" I rubbed my throbbing head. "Hangovers are a bitch aren't they?" I rolled over to see Niall laughing. I grabbed a pillow stuffing it in my face covering my eyes from the burning light. "C'mon sleepy head it's like 12" He teased lifting up the pillow. "No" I protested snuggling my face into the fuzzy pile of blankets. "Alright" He said suspiciously. I felt the bed rise as he stood up. "You give me no choice" He warned before locking his strong arms around my body tossing me over his shoulder. I gave out a girly scream surprised by his actions. "I don't take no for an answer" I felt his body rumble as he laughed. "You are unbelievable" I groaned. We got a bite to eat then headed to the pub to pick up my car. "Alright goodbye" I said halfway out of the car door when Niall caught ahold of my wrist. "not so fast" He chuckled pulling me back into the leather seat. He handed me his phone lifting up his eyebrows. "Do I have to?" I sighed. " Don't ask questions you know the answer to" he winked. I gave up and took the phone out of his grasp giving him mine in exchange. As soon as he handed my phone over I leaped out of my seat. "Wait" He shouted. I looked back in the car annoyed. "No goodbye kiss?" he smirked. "wipe that cheeky grin off your face I'm not interested" I slammed the door sprinting to my car before he stopped me again.
"She's back in the same clothes" Lucy gasped as I climbed out of my car. "It's not what you think" I replied quickly. "Good you had me scared" She laughed. "Shane stopped by" She interrupted the silence. "H..h..h...he did?" I stuttered. "Yeah he gave this to me and he told me what happened" she gave me a smile of empathy handing me a pink bag. "Thanks" I tried to give her a smile. "Well I'd love to chat but I must go take care" She walked away waving. I fumbled with my key's unlocking the front door. I ran in shrugging my coat off and tearing open the pink bag. It contained flowers, a box of chocolates and a note reading "Babe I'm sorry please let me explain I love you" I laughed rereading the last 3 words. I instantly trashed everything I didn't need his dumb gifts no way was I running back into his trap. I jumped at hearing my loud ringtone going off. "Hello?" I answered without bothering to see who it was. "Miss me?" I heard Niall's voice on the other end of the line. I rolled my eye's "What do you want?" I heard him chuckle slightly. "I just wanted to let you know I'm picking you up at 6 tomorrow night" He said with clear confidence. "Niall I just came out of a relationship" I really wasnt ready for another. I couldnt risk being hurt not again. "Fine we can go out as friends...for now" He whispered the last 2 words. I sighed "Fine goodbye" I said quickly Hanging up.
