I flipped through a magazine skipping all the boring articles. After a few minutes of reading I pushed the magazine to the middle of the table and groaned I was so bored. It had been a week since I last talked to Niall I wondered what he was up to. I picked up my phone dialing his number and pressed the phone to my ear. "Hello darling" he answered. "Hey whatcha up to?" I asked. "watching tv wanna hang out today?" He suggested. "Sure how about the park?" I asked. "Sounds good be there in 20" He instructed before hanging up the phone.
I wondered around the park for a few minutes before noticing a blonde haired boy laying on his back in the bright green grass on the top of a tall hill. I hiked up the Hill plopping down beside Niall. "Hello beautiful" He sang still looking up at the sky. "Hey handsome" I teased bringing a smile to his face. "what are you doing up Here?" I asked curiously. He shrugged "I like to think up here and watch the sky". Silence flooded around us as we both concentrated on our thoughts. "Niall?" I asked breaking the silence. "yeah?" he said still focusing on the clouds. "do you think my dad misses me?" ever since we last talked about our families I couldn't get the question off my mind. "I bet he does it probably haunts him every day since he left you". I pondered his thought for a moment. "then why doesn't he come back?" I asked now rolled on my side facing him. "Karissa I don't have all the answers sometimes people just make mistakes and never fix them" He answered now facing me as well. We stayed like this for a while just enjoying each others company when a hand jerked my shoulder.I looked up to see Shane's soulless eyes starring back at mine. My nose wrinkled when I smelt the heavy alcohol on his breath."Come on" is all hd simply said before pulling me off the ground dragging me by wrist down the hill. Niall sprinted down the hill stopping infront of Shane's path. Shane let out a disgusting amused laugh as he shoulder bumped Niall passing him with no problem. I felt my heart sink he was letting Shane take me. I looked over my shoulder pleading with my eyes for him but he stayed planted in his spot not moving an inch. Shane dragged my out of Niall's sight ruining every hope I had that he would come for me. That's when I felt my instincts kick in. I stopped dead in my tracks surprising Shane giving me an opportunity to run. I ran as fast as my feet could carry me not looking back once.I knew I had an advantage because he was to drunk to walk properly let alone run but I still gave it all I had. I slammed into my car fumbling with key's before shoving in the key hole.
I pulled into the small driveway of my flat seeing a figure standing infront of my door. I leaped out furious and scared. "GET AWAY FROM ME" I screamed as I approached Niall. "Karissa I'm an ass I know" he tried to reason with me. "THAT'S THE THING YOU DON'T KNOW..I THOUGHT I HAD ONE PERSON I COULD TRUST BUT CLEARLY I WAS WRONG" I felt my throat burning. "Karissa please" he begged. I didn't believe in second chances anymore. I pushed passed him into my house slamming the door as hard as I could.
"Okay ill talk to you later bye " I heard a hushed voice whisper through the walls. My eyes fluttered open revealing a bedroom I'd never seen before. My heart started racing as I approached the door carefully twisting the knob. I peaked out of the room "good morning" A male said looking up from a couch. I jumped dammit he saw me. "Sorry I know it's kinda creepy you woke up in a different house I won't hurt you I swear just let me explain" He pleaded with a smile. I sat on a chair cautiously still unaware of who he was. "I'm Niall's friend Liam" He introduced himself. "okay there isn't really a way to put this without sounding weird but basically we uh..brought you here to my apartment because Niall had to go on a trip and was worried about leaving you alone so I'm taking care of you" He explained rubbing his short brown hair. "I'm no safer when he's here" I scoffed. "right about last night he's sorry Karissa trust me he's beating himself up for it" he gave me a half smile. "so basically you two kidnapped me in my sleep now I'm forced to live with some stranger for who knows how long?" I asked glaring at him. "Well if you put it that way but it's for your best" he assured me. "Great you both suck thanks for ruining my life" I yelled before returning to the room slamming the door.
