CHAPTER 20
My mornings didn't change much after I moved in to live in the Lancelot Manor.
Just like back in my parent's basement, I was always awakened by some pesky woman. My mother has been replaced by Yehanna herself pulling the curtains so that the sunlight would raid on my face.
Then and there, I would go up and do my morning routine: wash my face, brush my teeth, and wax my hair upwards to look handsome. Then, I would go join Yehanna and Little Yifus for breakfast at a long stylish dining table that is mostly empty.
"Good morning, Handsome Big Bro!" Yifus would greet me with a smile after hearing my footsteps.
"Good morning, Yifus." I greeted back.
For most of the time, Yehanna would be greeting me happy too just like her little brother. That happened like a routine for the past three days of my stay here. However, right now, Yehanna seemed to be out of energy. She even has eye bags on her face.
"Good morning, midnight panda." I joked.
"Good morning, Uly," Yehanna said before uttering a silent but long yawn. I see she's out of the mood for some teasing and jokes.
"Here is your breakfast, my lords and ladies." Sebastian entered the dining room and revealed trays of our breakfast food. It consists of a mountain of bacon, sunny-side-up eggs, and salad. It's a pretty simple breakfast, but it's plentiful for just the three of us.
Yehanna served slices of bacon and eggs to her little brother's plate. She even feeds Yifus before she even begins to put food on her plate. What a thoughtful big sister she is.
"I can do it already, sis! I'm old enough!"
"Fine." Yehanna sighed with a smile as she withdrew from her brother.
Yifus would use the fork and do some trial and error until he stabs one of the bacon strips and a piece of egg and puts it in his mouth. Sometimes, he would get no food for his fork, and sometimes, it falls off. Yifus would get pissed at those instances where he fail to take a bite of his breakfast.
Eating with a fork and knife while you're blind is almost impossible to do if you're still a kid.
"You can use your hand for better grasps of the food," I muttered.
"Really?" Yifus cheered. "But my sister always forbids me to use my hand while eating."
"It's for proper table manners, Yifus," Yehanna said.
"It's just three of us here. There's no need for manners! Just claw that greasy bacon out and eat like a hungry bear!" I pumped my fists.
"Okay!" Yifus cheered. He threw away his fork and knife and started to chow down like an hungered animal. "Eating with your hands is the best!"
Yehanna just sighed defeated. She does not have any energy to protest or feed her brother like they used to. She just started to eat with only potato salad on her plate.
Right after eating our breakfast, we would say goodbye to Yifus before going off to work. Sebastian will be taking care of the poor little blind boy while the big sister is away.
It slightly surprised me when we opened the wide garage. It's now empty, contrary to the past three days where there's the giant broken vault with cash oozing out. Right now, the vault nor the money is no longer there. The garage only contains the limousine, a motorcycle, and the black car that Yehanna often uses to drive her way to the Dragonoid Military Academy or the Dragon Sage Library.
Living with Yehanna has its benefits, and one of those is free rides. Sometimes if we get lazy or late, I just turn her into a dragon and blast off until we reach our destination in a snap of a finger.
