     FINAL PHASE

     STRICTLY BUSINESS FINALE

     Addelyn’s POV

     I. Want. Blood.

That’s the only thing that runs through my head as I stare at the male beast in front of me.  Nothing would please me more than to watch him wither away and die.  And it’d be better if I could do it with my own hands.

But no.  I must love him.  At least for the night.

And I was totally prepared to do so, until Weston showed up at my door.  He looked like an idiot, honestly.  And it took everything I had not to burst out laughing.  His blue suit, and fluffy white shirt were not at all becoming on him.  But my heart welled with joy when I saw him anyways.  Only because I saw the effort.  And really, that’s all I wanted from him.

I knew he was going to show up.  I never sent him a text message like I told him.  I knew Jackson would find it hard to believe that I was actually going with him unless he was an audience to the break-up between Weston and I.  So he got his little show.  But what makes him laugh now will only make him cry later.

“What a loser,” Jackson says, sitting down on the couch and wrapping his arm around my waist.  “I’m glad you made the right choice, though.  I knew you could never resist me.”

“Well,” I smile up towards him.  “I’ve always wanted to be with you.  I’m just glad you talked to me.  But I do wish it would’ve been a little sooner.”

“I know, babe.  But don’t worry, I’ll make it up to you later.”  He winks and I feel a little bile come up in my mouth at the idea.  I swear, if I had my baseball bat…

Jackson laughs.  “And did you see that limousine?  Weston’s the son of a multi-millionaire lawyer and that’s the best he could do?  That thing looked like it was about to fall apart any second.  Now I don’t feel so bad about taking you in my car.”

Yeah, the limo was… interesting.  But I’m sure there’s a very reasonable explanation as to why that would’ve been my transportation. But at least he made an effort to take me in a limo.  Jackson was so cheap, he wouldn’t even do that.
