"ma'am please place your hands where i can see them" the police officer said after pulling me over.
"im gonna raise my left hand & reach in the glove department for my registration" i said like my daddy taught me.
I opened the glove department to grab the papers & there was Ej's gun.
"oh shit" i whispered to myself
"ma'am, i asked did you have any weapons in the vehicle & you answered no" he said taking his gun out from his side making me put my hands up so he don't shoot my ass.
"i didn't know sir" i said scared asf
"i need you to step out the car ma'am, take your left arm & open the door from the outside & keep your hands where i can see them"
i did as told & he locked my ass up & took me down to the station.
i was in processing for about 4 hours before i finally went in. i kept my mouth shut just like my father told me long ago.
"Legacy you can get your phone call now" the officer said. making me go over to her & dial my moms phone number.
"who the hell calling me from jail" she said answering the phone.
"mom they arrested me cause it was a gun in my car, but it's not mine" i said into the phone
"Legacy this you? Yo crazy ass daughter in jail" my mom yelled out to my dad. i shouldn't have called her ass bruh ion got time for that family to be in my business.
"mom add Nardo to the call" i said now irritated.
she added him to the call
"hello?" he said sounding like he was sleep.
"Nardo where Emani" i said
"she sleep, why you calling me from yo mom phone & not answering yo phone" he asked
"i'm in jail. i need you to bail me out & take Emani to my mom" i said
"wym you in jail? how much is bail" he asked
" i should know by tomorrow they found a gun in my car while i was pulled over"
"oh shit" he said
"can you just take her to my mom" i said
"Legacy i'm not raising no baby while you in jail, it's not happening" she said making me became irritated
"mom where the hell else is she gone go. If i don't need you anytime else, i need you right now" i said
"Legacy you grown you can figure it out. i love Emani & all but my kids grown don't have time to raise somebody else's" she said making me just put my head down.
"Legacy i can keep her, i already know her schedule & shit i got you" he said
"uhhh i don't know" i'm not really comfortable with a man keeping my daughter for idk how long, i'm not too sure about that.
"Legacy you really don't have no choice, if not him then who?"
"ik ik but-" i said before he cut me off
"Legacy you just gotta trust me, you not gone be in there for long anyways but while you there i got Emani. she like my daughter anyways i would never put her in harms way"
"okay, keep my baby safe Horace. Mom can you atleast check in on her sometimes"
"yes Legacy"
"you have one minute remaining" the lil phone robot said
"okay i love y'all, i'll call tomorrow with the information about bond. Tell my baby i love her"i said
they said they byes & i love you's back & the phone call ended
"it's time for bed ladies" the officer said
i went into my lil ass cell & laid down. i was just thinking about how imma get out & if i don't who is gonna take care of Emani. She already don't have her father in her life i atleast want her to have her mom. I don't even know what or WHO is connected to Nardo's gun so i could be doing a lot of time.
I'm acting so normal now but when the reality of me being on jail, hits. imma be so fucked up. I cant go through another depressive stage.
