When the gang pulled up to Stu's house, a chill when down her spine, causing her to shiver. Tatum turned to her "Are you cold? I told you you should've brought a jacket-" Melanie fondly rolls her eyes at the girls protective behavior and grabbed her hand, which stopped her from talking "I'm fine. It's not the cold. I'm just a bit nervous is all"
The blonde sighed at that "I already told you there's nothing to worry about. I'm not gonna anything happen to you" She reaches over to tuck a strand of brunette behind her ear, and a flush appeared on her cheeks "I know. But something's making me worried. I just can't tell what it is"
"Well whatever it is. Tell it to fuck off so you can enjoy yourself. You deserve it after everything" That brings a smile to her face and Tatum pats her thigh "That's my girl. But you're still going in with a jacket"
Dewey turns around to look at them, and they quickly detached themselves from each other. Dewey only gave a polite smile and said "You girls have fun. But not too much fun or I'll bust ya. Bye Sid, Melanie"
"Bye Dewey!" "Bye"
And all three of them of them walk out if his car to the entrance. With her crutches still in use, she had help from Tatum getting up the steps and she can see people give her looks of either awe, suspicious or something else unreadable. She hated the attention.

Sidney pushes open the kitchen door and Tatum drops the the food onto the counter "Here ya go kids" Right next to them, Stu us funneling beer into the mouth of a random guy who was being suspended by hus friends. That could never be here. Tatum rolls her eyes and says with a blank voice "Real mature, Stu"
He looks back at with a stumble smirk "Well, you guys were tardy. So we started the party without you" The guy below shoves the tube from his mouth and vomits the rest of it on the floor. Thank god there wasn't a lot "Oh dude"
Melanie grimaces at the spill and looks away with an audible gag and that's when Stu seems to notice her presence. He shouts and skips over to her and raises her hand in the air "Hey guys! It's our resident survivor!" Everyone in the kitchen and all the people who entered loudly cheer and even though Melanie wants to shy away, the sunshine like smile on Tatum's face makes her embrace the attention. Only for her
