Y/n had been sorted into Gryffindor and had made friends with Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter in her first year. Even though it's only been two years they have been through so much. From two faced Professors too giant snakes and diary's they had formed a tight friendship. They were now about to go into their third year for another aventure. She was the first in her entire family to be sorted into Gryffindor (or so she thought) as her mum and her side had been sorted into Slytherin and her dad and Dora were Hufflepuffs.
Dora, y/n's sister had started her auror training and wasn't home very often. Though she was at the moment since Andromeda said she needed to speak with both girls.
That afternoon y/n was going to London with Harry, Ron and Hermione and she couldn't wait. Her parents said she could even stay at the Leaky Cauldron with them.
The summer had proved quite uneventful to y/n. Ron had gone to Egypt after his dad won a cash prize and Hermione was holidaying in France. The most interesting thing that happened this summer was the news that someone had escaped from Azkaban for the first time ever. Sirius Black. Y/n knew 'Black' was her mothers maiden name and that most of them were supporters of the dark lord. She thought she might be related to him distantly. Andromeda called her two daughters down stairs to speak with them.
"As you girls know that Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban and—"
"Yeah I know is he related to us? Because his last name is Black and I thought it could be distantly-"
"Y/n, he's my cousin." Andromeda cut her daughter off.
Y/n fell silent. She knew she could of been related to Sirius Black. But she didn't think that close.
"Interesting." said Dora. "We're related to a murderer."
"And I thought it was bad enough being related to Draco Malfoy." y/n muttered. Draco had pretty much been bullying her and her friends since their first day of Hogwarts. Even though he knew he was related to her.
"I know you may be shocked but believe me I was too. I thought he was like me. You know a black sheep of the family. He ran off and all. Then finding out he killed 13 people." Andromeda said sadly and Ted rubbed her back.
"But anyway I thought you girls should know."Andromeda said.
"Yeah thanks for telling us, mum" y/n smiled. She desperately hoped no one at school knew this. But she did know if Draco Malfoy knew (which me most likely did) she was doomed.
