Of course, of course he had to come and ruin the moment as always. Vansh couldn't help the eye roll on seeing the person standing at the door, but he also couldn't stop his anger on being interrupted like this. He was just about to tease Riddhima.
It had been long since they both had been left alone by the family, and he could tease her like this, but obviously this person had to come at the very moment and spoil it. "Tumhe kisi ne dusre ke room me aane se pehle knock karne ki tameez nahi sikhayi, Inspector Kabir." (Did anyone not teach you the basic manners to knock on the door before coming into someone else's room, Inspector Kabir?) Vansh said finally turning his head from Riddhima to glare at Kabir. He hated this man so much especially since he had come here to stay and was always interrupting him and Riddhima.
"Tameez toh tumhe bhi kisi ne nahi sikhayi ki dusro ki biwi ke saath romance nahi karte, Imposter Vansh!" (Nobody taught you manners too, to not romance somebody else's wife) Kabir came towards them and tried to pull Riddhima away, when Vansh held her tight and Riddhima scowled at both the men beside her.
"Excuse me, Mai koi cheez nahi hu jo Tum dono Mujhe yaha waha kheech rahe Ho? Just leave me both of you." (Am I an object that you guys are pulling me towards each other?) Riddhima freed herself and stood up and turned to give a death stare to both men. Both the men were lions in their territories but infront of Riddhima they didn't know how to act. They couldn't help looking here and there trying to avoid her eyes, whilst Riddhima didn't stop glaring at them in anger.
"First of all, Kabir you have no right to come in my room without knocking.." Riddhima started but Kabir tried to cut her off,
"But Riddhima.."
"Did I complete yet? NO. So shut up and let me talk. You have no right to come to my room without knocking and interrupt me and my husband. Also can you stop with your imposter bullshit already, you have been almost thrown out of the house because of it. I taught you would have learned your lesson by now, but fir kutte ki puuch kabhi sidhi nahi hoti na." (But then a dog's tail can never become straight) Riddhima didn't even stop to look at Kabir who's face had gone slack at the insult. He couldn't even think of a reply before Riddhima turned to Vansh and started,
"And you dear husband of mine, get your lazy ass up while I'll go get your food from the kitchen. And atleast remember to lock the door from next time. I can't believe you are so stupid at times after being such a big business man." Vansh couldn't help being amused at the subtle insults, Riddhima was too smart for her own good.
"Anyway, you take care of this problem," Riddhima said while pointing at Kabir who's jaw dropped at being insulted 2 times in a span of mere seconds, "While I'll go to the kitchen and sort things out." Riddhima started walking out of the door.
She was not at all in the mood to handle these 2 men right now. Obviously she wasn't going to go anywhere and was just showing them their place. She planned to stand outside the door and eavesdrop on their conversation, because she couldn't trust any of them. She started moving towards the door when a hand held her back, she turned around to see Kabir holding her hand and pulling her back a little.
"Riddhima but... I actually want to talk to you. That's why I came here, and it's really important. But I want to talk to you alone." He said the last line eyeing Vihaan and Riddhima turned towards Vihaan who had turned so red he almost looked like a tomato. His lips had turned into a thin line and his eyes were fixed on Kabir's hand on Riddhima's.
Vansh was seeing green. He couldn't believe the audacity this guy had. First of, he came into his room without notice and then he dares to hold his wife's hand. His Riddhima's hand. HOW DARE HE! Vansh immediately snatched Riddhima's hand and pushed his hand away, then he pulled Riddhima a little behind him and stepped forward intimidatingly into Kabir's face.
"I SWEAR TO GOD INSPECTOR KABIR IF YOU EVER EVER TOUCH MY WIFE AGAIN, I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET THE DAY YOU WERE BORN." Vansh couldn't control his anger, especially when he saw Kabir with Riddhima, the way Kabir looked at her, it awakened the possessive tiger inside Vansh.
"What will you do huh? I'm not scared of your threats you Vansh! I have to talk to Riddhima and she's not your property so just shut your trap." Kabir didn't even flinch, he kept staring straight at Vansh because no matter what, he wasn't ready to believe this was the real Vansh, and if he wasn't, he really could do nothing to Kabir.
"She is my wife, and I have to keep her safe from creeps like you, yeh mera farz hai." (It's my duty) Vansh said that and he didn't realize he had been holding Riddhima's hand all this while and his grip tightened when he said these words.
Riddhima felt an electric current run through her body, her eyes teared up. She was reminded of Vansh with every word Vihaan said. The feeling of security and the possessive love she always felt with Vansh, she could feel it so much right now with these words and Vihaan's hand in hers. But why?? This isn't Vansh! Why was this happening to her! She had to control her emotions, get herself together.
"OH FARZ!! Yeh farz warz ki baatein Tum jaise logo ke muh se aachi nahi lagti Imposter. Na hi Vansh ne apni zindagi me koi farz sahi se nibbaya Aur Tum toh Vansh Ho hi nahi toh kya kehna." (Oh duty! These duty talks don't suit you Imposter. Neither did Vansh fulfill any of his duties when he was alive and you aren't even Vansh so what can I say!)
"ENOUGH! Enough both of you!" Riddhima couldn't hear such things about Vansh, she had never seen him being nothing but a good son, brother and a dedicated family man. These allegations hurt her so much her eyes turned red in anger. She stalked towards Kabir, still holding Vihaan's hand because she didn't want to admit it but holding his hand gave her strength in his situation.
"Kabir if you say one more word about my husband, and I mean one more, I will make sure that you get thrown out of this house and can have no way back, and I mean it. Then everything that you have worked so hard for, all the years and people you have sacrificed for it will all go down the drain. DO YOU GET IT! Leave my room right now."
"But Riddhima... it's really important what I have to tell you..."
"I DON'T CARE! Your are pathetic Kabir, and it's never been more disgusted by you, and I've known you long enough. I honestly can't believe I feel for a crap like you once." Riddhima said pointing at Kabir's face, "Just get the hell out of my face."
Kabir was about to reason with her but she just turned away and went into the bathroom. Then he turned towards Vansh with a glare, "I'll see you later Imposter! This isn't over."
"My dear half-bro, I think you keep forgetting this is my house, you are living on my earnings, so obviously you'll keep seeing me around. You are the one who's going to be leaving soon not me. Anyway out of my room please, me and my wife don't really like insects in our room." With that Vansh held his hand and threw him out of the room, closing the door on his face.
Vansh looked at the door he just closed and then towards the bathroom where Riddhima went. What did she mean she feel for Kabir once? Why did she point at him and say that? Vansh's face had gone white with the thoughts that were coming in his mind. No! He can't be right! He didn't want to right for once in his life, but he couldn't help thinking,
Were they more than just partners scheming against Vansh? Were they by any chance lovers?
