Percy
Percy couldn't help grinning. And grinning. And grinning. Annabeth was there at his side. And, to add to his happiness, Seraphina's face was priceless. She'd tried to ask Percy out a few times (probably just because he was on the swim team. Or because he was so outrageously handsome. Yeah, right.) but Percy had continuously rejected her. And now, she was standing there, staring at the gorgeous girl standing next to him. Percy was overwhelmed by his luck of having such an amazing girlfriend. Before he'd met her, he'd always imagine that he would end up with someone like Nancy Bobofit. A perfect girlfriend, right?
Jim, Percy's best friend at Goode, was the first to recover properly.
"Uh. Well," he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, then held out his hand to Annabeth. "I'm Jim. Nice to.. Meet you." Annabeth shook his hand and smiled.
Soon Percy's other friends also introduced themselves; Alex, Keira, Nick, Annie, Jack, Angelina, Ash and Thomas. Apparently, Mel had already met Annabeth.
Percy helped Annabeth get her stuff ready, checked that they shared the same first period class (in fact, most of their classes were the same, except Percy did extra swimming while she did architecture, and a few other differences) and waited till the bell would ring, talking about what had happened over the last few months. When the bell finally rang, they got up and headed for the labs to do Physics. Boring. Percy would usually just daydream or stare out the window. Heck, he'd even fallen asleep a few times. What a great student, huh? He had no doubts that Annabeth would do great. She loved learning. She might even force Percy to actually listen.
Percy headed into class, took his seat at the back of class, made sure Annabeth was beside him, and began daydreaming. Mostly about how happy he was to have her there.

Annabeth
During first period, Annabeth had a hard time concentrating. Most out of character. But she couldn't help it. She was giddy to be back with her Seaweed Brain. Instead of watching how he would stare off into the distance, his mouth curled into a tiny smile, his jet-black hair as ruffled as ever, she tried to take in other details (something she had become good at). She observed the classroom they were in (hard oak door, double-paned windows, twenty-two desks made of birch and steel, the room spanning 20 square meters, based on the tiles on the floor, approximately 3.70 meters up to the ceiling) and distracted herself from her thoughts about her boyfriend. After a while, she felt she could concentrate on what the teacher was saying again, and began feeling like her normal self. You can't go and get all distracted like that, Annabeth. You'll get bad grades. You'll have time to talk to Percy later. That was the internal monologue running through her head. She gathered herself and took out a notebook, listening intensely to the small, partially bald teacher, and beginning to take notes. As if she didn't already know about mass and volume and density. One would think they were back in middle school, yeah? Nevertheless, she decided to stay concentrated. Better safe than sorry.

A/N: Finally, the new chapter! Sorry that it's so short.... It's just I'm on holiday now, and I didn't want to make you guys wait more for this chapter to come out. Next time I'll try to write a longer chapter.
Second of all, I'm sorry if I'm not good with American school curriculum. I've never been to the US, so I'm not 100% sure on how the schools work there. Also, sorry for using meters and stuff. I'm not familiar with inches and feet. XP. Anyways, hope you enjoyed! Blue cookies for all readers!
