"Cale, help me pleasee?"

There he went with the bullshit again.

"Your highness, don't you have paperworks to do?"

Cale was sure that after all the White-shit war drama, Alberu had more work than ever. He might even have had sleepless nights more frequently.

Did this man actually ever sleep properly?

He had to ask Tasha about it later.

Cale shook off the thought as he focused on the current topic.

"Tasha offered to help. I agreed and here I am. Back to the topic, Dongsaeng, help me..."

Cale noticed that the crown prince's eyes drifted off to somewhere else as he looked dazed.

He held back the urge to roll his eyes as he commented,

"I didn't know help was written on Choi Han's face."

Seems like that was enough to snap the blonde out of his daze. Yet, his eyes were still focused on the swordsmaster who was supervising the children.

"You wouldn't understand, dongsaeng. You aren't the one in love."

Love.

That word made him want to kill again.

Why the fuck am i thinking about murder-

No, why the fuck is this fucker in love with this munchkin!?

Cale didn't understand.

He was confused with everything.

He was even confused with why Ron wasn't here, smiling benignly at the crown prince and scaring him away.

He was confused with why Choi Han just had to train his sword skills in the training grounds. In front of their office.

"Young master Cale? Cale?"

Cale responded a beat late to the fellow redhead as she seemed to notice his daze.

"Yes, Miss Rosalyn?"

"You seem to like to slip into a daze these days, young master Cale."

She chuckled as she sipped her tea, very sure that the ex-commander had something on his mind.

"Ah, is that right?"

Cale looked at his reflection in the tea. He indeed seemed a bit lost.

"I guess, everything is too peaceful for my liking-"

"Even though you wished for this peace?"

Rosalyn shot down his excuse before he could even complete it.

Sighing, he looked up at the magician. This is why it was scary to have people understand you too much for your own good.

He couldn't even scam them.

"You know me too well, Miss Rosalyn."

The concerned party only chuckled and repeated her question,

"Is there something on your mind, young master Cale?"

Cale only averted his eyes, determined not to answer the absurd question.

But the motherfucking gods couldn't be any merciful as the first thing he saw when he turned was Alberu and Choi Han laughing together.

It seemed like Choi Han had said something to the crown prince while bowing and the blonde broke into a fit of chuckles.

How out of character.

Yet,what an eyesore.

Cale cursed lowly as he turned back to Rosalyn.

"His highness and Choi Han?"

Cale sipped his tea quietly, confirming her suspicion to be true.

She decided to rest the waters.

"The both of them seem close."

Cale paused for a split second but acted like nothing happened.

"Hm, they're too close...wait, young master Cale, is his highness....courting Choi Han..?"

She peered throught the window, squinting her eyes.

"I think so."

"Wah, they actually look good together."

Rosalyn deliberately emphasized the 'good' to see the redhead's reaction.

As expected, his stone-cold stoic face faltered again.

She nodded to herself.

"Ah, young master, Eruhaben-nim and I were going to experiment with the teleportation scrolls today. I should be on my way."

"Well then, Miss Rosalyn. Feel free to tell me if you need more mana stones."

"I will."

The crimson commander smiled as she exited the room.

Though, her smile soon disappeared as miniscule crackles of lightning sparked on her fingers.

She looked outside, with a frown on her face.

The crown prince needs a lesson before the young master.

She'd have to employ some methods of past to discipline the two who were trying to mess with their ex-commander.

"They actually look good together....good together....good together..."

Cale lazily played with the thunderbolts emerging in his hands as he laid on his bed.

-Cale, stop wasting your energy by using us.

I want to. Sue me if you can.

The sparkles in his hand got bigger as a layer of water wrapped the still burning fire, with the size of a fist now.

He got up as the ball of fire and water followed him.

Why am I even thinking so much? Hyung-nim has asked for help while Choi Han also seems to be happy.

He didn't know that the calmer his thoughts were, the more chaotic the ball was getting, until it flew out of the window to God knows where.

Actually, the gods really knew where, but we'll not talk about a certain blonde getting hit by it for now.

Cale, of course, ignored it. It wouldn't cause damage to anyone here anyways.

Yeah, I'll help them, I guess.

"Your highness, I will help you."

Alberu nearly shreiked in horror when he heard the words.

"WHAT-"

"Oww! You're so loud."

"-sorry. But pardon? Repeat what you said?"

"I said I will help you, your highness."

Alberu's face almost fell before he told himself to get it together and smiled,

"You're definitely not kidding right, dongsaeng?"

"Why? You don't want me to?"

"I- yes yes, you have to help me!"

Ah, he dug a pit for himself.

Looking at the smile that seemed to be as bright as the sun, Cale was torn between feeling annoyed and fascinated.
