GTA IV- BERNIE X M! READER

You were out in the town with your best friend, Bernie Crane. The only thing he was talking about was Bryce Dawkins this, Bryce Dawkins that, Bryce Dawkins is so hot! "Bernie calm down, You sound crazy! People are starting to stare!" You yelled while whispering. Bernie quieted down. "Sorry y/n, I think I may have gotten too happy talking about Bryce!" Bernie seemed happy and excited today which put you in a good mood as well. "So Bernie, how's your day going so far?" You asked hoping he wouldn't start talking about that blasted Bryce Dawkins. You don't like Bryce Dawkins, mainly since you do happen to have a crush on Bernie and Bryce is overall just a jerk. A up no-good jerk. "Darling y/n are you alright?" Bernie asked looking a bit concerned as to why you were just staring off. You shook your head, "I'm fine, Bernie. Could you repeat what you said though?" Bernie repeated what he said and you both had a nice chat about your day and anything that came to mind. You enjoyed speaking with him even more when he would just mumble on and on about random things. Soon after you both were tired so like normal you drove Bernie home then went home yourself.

A week later~

It was late at night and you were hanging at Hercules when you saw Bernie and Bryce walk in together. You were drunk so thought you were seeing things. They were dancing together and drinking and something about seeing them together made your blood boil. Soon you saw while Bernie was drinking at the bar having a chat with the bartender, Bryce was walking into one of the private rooms with another man. "Hey y/n! Didn't expect to see you here!" Bernie said his words slurred some from drinking. "Huh? Oh, hey Bernie! When did you get here?" You said turning towards Bernie, "Not too long ago actually, and guess what!" You said what before Bernie continued. "I'm on a date with Bryce!" When Bernie said this your blood began to boil because no good Bryce was currently not only cheating on his wife with Bernie but cheating on Bernie with another man as he spoke. You didn't know how you were going to tell Bernie. "Bernie, where is Bryce?" Bernie started looking around, "Well before I came over here to drink he was over there near the wall, Maybe he's just in the bathroom?" Bernie got quiet. "Bryce wouldn't cheat on me, would he..? I mean he is cheating on his wife but he wouldn't do this to me, right?" Bernie looked sad and so you immediately started trying to his mind off of Bryce. Talking of random things when from the corner of your eye you saw Bryce and the man come back from the room. Bernie noticed this too as he glanced towards you looking visibly upset. "Hey, Bernie? Wanna get out of here, I think Bryce will be fine." Bernie looked towards Bryce who was dancing with the man again and back at you then nodded. "Y-yeah let's go." Bernie stuttered as you and him both got up to leave after paying. Once you two had gotten to Bernie's house, Bernie broke down into tears. You immediately wrapped your arms around him as he did the same. "How could he! I trusted B-Bryce!" Bernie's grip on you tightened. "Hey, it's gonna be okay, forget about him, he never really loved you properly anyways. If he did he would have left his wife for you. " You explained as Bernie sniffled. "Your right, y/n. I was dumb and fell for him anyway. He's a jerk." Bernie's grip softened and he just laid against you as you held him there patting his back and rubbing small circles on his back as well. "Y/n?" "Yes, Bernie?" "Will you stay here with me tonight? I don't want to be alone right now.." You said yes and stayed with him.

The next morning

"BERNIE WHAT THE H**L!" Bryce screamed at Bernie. Bernie yelled back, "I DIDN'T CHEAT ON YOU! YOU CHEATED ON ME! Y/N WAS NICE ENOUGH TO TAKE ME HOME AND STAY WITH ME! UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE!" Bryce looked over at you as you watched this scene in front of you. "WELL, WHY DON'T YOU DATE Y/N INSTEAD?!" Bryce yelled as you looked back and forth between the two men arguing. "WELL MAYBE I WILL AND I'M SURE HE WOULD LOVE ME MORE THAT YOU EVER DID ANYWAYS!" Bernie yelled, your face got red and Bernie's did too. Bryce scoffed before getting any of his stuff that was here and left, slamming the door behind him. "Sorry about that Y/n." You sighed "It's fine Bernie, It isn't your fault." Things got silent for what felt like an eternity before you felt someone's lips touch your cheek. You felt your whole body go stiff and get red. You initially turned and kissed Bernie back once you pulled away you said a quick Sorry before looking around to avoid Bernie's gaze. "Y/n, I think I do love you, I'd be pleased if you want to date me as well. " Bernie's voice was like music to your ears and you couldn't help but grow redder. "I'd be pleased to date you Bernie." You said looking over towards Bernie who once had said this smiled and the two males shared a kiss. You both went on to live your life together happily and Bryce's wife found out he had been cheating and got divorced and his job fell apart and he was soon fired. Bernie and you were both happy this man had got what he deserved.
