Will this bus just hurry up! I've been waiting at this bustop for 25 minutes now, why are they always so late? 3 buses have already passed, the wrong ones of course, and if the bus driver keeps this up I'll be late! I've got an exam today, "I knew I should have left earlier!" I mutter my annoyance out loud to myself. After another 10 minutes the bus pulls into the stop, I jump on and throw my student ID card at the driver. I sit near the back and get my phone out of my jacket pocket. Its 08:17, my exam starts in 10 minutes! Be calm, I tell myself. I will be on time, the bus journey is only 20 minutes and more than half of that has passed already.
Much to my annoyance the bus breaks down, but luckily we are only two streets away from the university gates. I jump off the bus, slam my heavy backpack full of textbooks onto my back and sprint as fast as my legs can carry me down the street. My fitness level has deceased rapidly since I moved to England, after all there aren't many vampires around here are there? And so I am out of breath, my sides heaving and my muscles screaming for oxygen by the time I get to the gates. I sign in at the reception and glance at the clock, its 08:35, "Shit!" I say and the receptionist gives me a reproachful look, "Sorry, my exam started more than 5 minutes ago! I'm Claire Collins, can you sign me in please!?" I don't wait for a reply, I take off at a fast run again but am stopped in my tracks.
"Hello Claire. I haven't seen you for a while." I stare at the woman standing in the corridor in front of me. Her grey eyes look darker when she's stood in the shadow of the doorframe, her blonde hair pulled tightly into a French twist, her pale hand resting gently against the wall. "May I speak with you?"
"But...how? Oh never mind! Can we talk later? I have an exam which started-" I glance at my phone again, 08:43, "-16 minutes ago! Shit!" I move to go past her but she places her hand on my shoulder and guides me through the doorway.
"I've rearranged your exam, you will have a private exam on Friday at 7:00am." I look at her, 7:00am! "What?" She says, "Oh its the only time I could get for you, if you don't want to do it..."
"No, no, no. I want to do it!" I say quickly.
"Good there's no problem then is there? Now come."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/N: Sorry this chapter is so short, this is basically based on all the confusion I'm having this week! I have an English Speaking and Listening exam for the Cambridge iGCSE and I should have had it today but my teacher is ill so its been rearranged... The huge problem is I have no idea where it is, what time it is, what day it is and I have a rough idea of who its with. Aghhh, my life sucks right now!
