Adrien POV
I arrived at Agreste Manor and entered my room. After looking around, I swapped to my civilian form and slumped onto the bed with a sigh.
"Are you still bummed about Marinette not wanting to forgive you?" Plagg asked as I fed him some camembert.
"No. It's Luka. I don't see why he's with Marinette." I replied.
"I thought you like Ladybug?" Plagg asked.
"I do. Now, I'm not sure. She's been with Viperion for a week. As for Marinette, I texted her my apology, only to find out she blocked me." I replied.
"You probably deserved it for being naïve." A voice replied. From the shadows was my father and Nathalie.
"How long have you two been there!?" I cried as I jumped up.
"Long enough to hear that you are Chat Noir." Nathalie answered.
I glared at the two of them for a while and touched my ring.
"Is it going to stop you from grounding me?" I asked.
"No. After all, I too have a secret I have been hiding from everyone. Even you, Adrien." My father replied.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Follow me. I'll show you." He said.
I followed him to his office and saw a large picture of my mother. He pushed the three buttons and activated an elevator. As we descended, I saw a coffin. We walked towards it.
"A coffin? That's what you wanted to show me?" I asked.
"No." He simply replied. He pushed a button and showed my mother's body.
"M-Mother? But you said she disappeared." I gasped.
"That's partially true. The thing is that I have preserved your mother for years. And because of the peacock miraculous, she is like this. That's why I needed the ladybug and cat miraculous. To bring her back." My father said.
I gasped and looked at my father with disbelief.
"You're Hawkmoth." I said.
My father nodded.
"I know it was wrong of me to keep this from you. But, I had no choice. Please, son. Help me bring your mother back." He said and placed a hand on my shoulder.
I felt my head spin after seeing my mother's body preserved in a glass coffin. My heart stung with emotions.
"If I can find Ladybug. Then, I'll convince her t give up her earrings. If not, then we'll have a fight on our hands." I said.
"Very well." My father said.
Plagg flew out of my jacket and scowled at me.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!?" He demanded.
"Doing the right thing. This is my mother we just saw. I have to do this." I said.
"Do you even know what you will happen if you fuse both miraculous together!? The end of the universe! Have you forgotten about that?" Plagg countered.
"You wouldn't understand!" I replied.
"I'm not going to let you and your crazy father doom the whole world for this!" Plagg shouted as he reached for the ring.
I swiped it away from him and scowled.
"I've had enough of this! Plagg, you are not allowed to speak until I give you permission!" I shouted. Plagg's lips were sealed shut. He tried to speak, but to no avail.
"Finally. About time you shut up. Now, I'll wait for the next patrol." I said.
