Great. Another year I have to spend at that insufferable school filled with pompous prats.
Hestia internally groaned at the thought of it.
At least I get to be with Hera.
Her cheeks turned slightly pink at the thought of Hera.
The Hogwarts Express blew its horn one last time to signify that it was going to leave so Hestia quickly boarded the train. She trudged through the train looking for an empty compartment. She looked at the floor most of the time and only lifted her head to check if a compartment was open.
Finally, towards the end of the train car she found an empty place for her to sit. Hestia lugged her trunk in then took a seat. She wondered where Hera could be. Surely she wouldn't miss school, right? Hestia fidgeted with her black muggle dress.
She couldn't wait to take it off and change into her robes. She absolutely hated muggle clothing. It made her very uncomfortable, but she had to wear it to get to platform 9 ¾.
A knock sounded at the door interrupting Hestia's thoughts. She glanced up and saw Hera who waved at her.
"Hera!"
She got up and opened the compartment door.
"Hi Hestia!"
Hera pulled her into a hug. Although Hestia didn't like hugs, she didn't mind them from Hera.
"Where were you?"
Hestia asked.
"I was almost late and had to get in at the first train car."
Hera told her.
"Hera, late? You're never late. What happened?"
"Well.. my father decided to lecture me about respecting Mr. Malfoy because we called him a nasty git last year."
Hestia laughed in the crazy way Bellatrix did.
"Well it's true!"
"That's what I told him and then he yelled at me."
Hestia and Hera sat down across from each other.
"Did you do anything even remotely fun this summer?
Hestia asked.
"Not really. Father was threatening to send me to one of those camps where purebloods try to convince you that muggles and muggleborns are bad and that you shouldn't be a blood traitor. I don't know why though. I'm not even friends with any muggleborns!"
"Maybe he figured out that you don't care about bloodstatus."
"But how? It's not like I bring any muggleborns to my house or anybody to my house for that matter. Also, the only person I talk about from Hogwarts is you and you're pureblood."
Hestia shrugged.
"Did you do anything fun this summer?"
She sighed.
"No, there's nothing fun to do when you're being raised by a former death eater."
Hera nodded in understanding.
"Oh, wait!"
Hestia looked up.
"My father told me about my mother."
"Really?"
"Yeah, he said she was super loving and caring."
"Was she a blood supremacist?"
"Probably, she married my father."
"Oh."
"He said she had to leave when I was young but he wouldn't say why."
