~Sometime in the past~
There was a cool, summer breeze blowing through the camp. The tall grass and wildflowers were swaying along with the wind, some brushing against the little bear's peanut colored fur. She stifled a small, innocent giggle every time a blade of grass caressed her cheek as she picked bouquets of wildflowers for her mother.
Francine was quietly humming a made up tune to herself, as she collected flowers. Plenty of wildflowers grew in the fields of grass just outside the camp, and not too far away. She liked to come here a lot, as she loved flowers. So much so, that the members of her family had started calling her "Flo"—short for "Flora".
A pebble suddenly ricocheted off the back of Flo's head. "...ow!" She mumbled, a small paw coming up to rub at the back of her head. About to brush it off as nothing, to go back to picking flowers, three more pebbles were seemingly shot at Francine. "Owie!" She cried again, both paws coming up to her head as even more pebbles came flying towards her.
Laughter followed. That laughter was coming from two other anthros in the camp. Two older kids, who made fun of picking on the younger ones. Looking over her shoulder, she saw Sherman and Biff—one a hound and the other a beaver—doubled over laughing in some of the higher blades of grass. They each had a hand made slingshot in hand, clearly what was used to shoot pebbles at Flo.
Already sniffling a little, all Francine could think to do was curl into a ball to hide in the grass. Maybe then they'd stop. However, they did not. Instead, the two boys made their way over to the little bear—still snickering to each other as they did. "Hey, peanut brain!" Sherman called, coming over to land a firm kick at Flo. That only made her sniffling turn to crying.
"Hey, quit cryin'!" Biff started, getting closer to Flo, too. "'Was just a joke!" He then landed a kick of his own. "... s-stop!" Flo asked, her tone trembling with each small sob that'd escape her. That only fueled the boys' actions. "Or what, peanut brain?" Sherman challenged, pushing at Francine with his foot instead of kicking her. "... p-please!"
"Her Sherm'," Biff started. "Look at me! I'm peanut brain!" The beaver's demeanor then turned mocking. "Oh-! Oh-! Hewp me! Pweasee!" He mocked in imitation, drawing out the syllables at the end. Flo, unable to defend herself, stayed curled up and crying while the bullies above her kept laughing. Sherman, finding it amusing, continued the mocking with, "I just a wittle itty bear, and my bwain's the size of a peanut-!"
"Sorry?" The laughter suddenly ceased, both boys turning around to see one of the Fazbear brothers stood behind them—arms crossed, and piercing white pinprick eyes staring into their very SOULs. "O-Oh! U-Um, heya, Goldie!" Sherman greeted, both him and Biff suddenly trying to act like they weren't picking at his little sister a minute ago. "What're y'all up to?"
"Flo?!" Freddy suddenly called, running up to a crying Francine on the ground. It had taken the middle Fazbear child a minute longer to catch up compared to the eldest's ability to teleport. The younger brother knelt down, immediately wanting to comfort his crying little sister. "Hey, it wadn't what it looks like, dude!"
"Oh really?" Fredbear began, already sounding as though he wasn't buying any of their story. "'Cause it sure looks to me like you were shovin' 'round my sister." At that, Sherman was met with an abrupt shove from Fredbear. Biff shoved back at the golden bear. "Hey! Hands off!" Fredbear's gaze shot towards Biff. "You're one to talk!"
"Oh yeah?!"
"Yeah!" More shoving then ensued. In no time, it began to escalate. However, before anyone could get really hurt, Freddy cried, "Guys! Stop! We're gonna get in trouble!" Fredbear looked towards his brother. "These tow should!" That was met with a hard punch to the shoulder, to which the golden bear returned with a harder shove to the ground.
"Seriously, Goldie!" Freddy pleaded, arms wrapped around Francine in a protective manner. "Flo isn't hurt, so we should just go back and tell mom and dad!" The eldest Fazbear glanced toward Flo, who was no longer crying, though was still hiccupping a bit. He then turned to look at Sherman and Biff. Snarling a little, he pointed towards them. "Y'all got lucky!" With that, Fredbear went to help his siblings stand up, and escorted them back to their family's tent—a protective arm wrapped around the two.
