There was a rumbling noise coming from Jing Xun's stomach when he looked at Chu Xuan with a confused look.

"Is there even food at this place?"

Chu Xuan stared at him with a questionable look when saying, "Have you not accomplished breatharianism? What a failed immortal must you be before you came here."

Jing Xun held on to his monstrous stomach and asked, "Breatharianism?"

"All high gods and powerful people have practiced that to replace food with a spiritual source to sustain life, therefore they don't need to take in any source of food," Chu Xuan explained.

Jing Xun tiredly rubbed his temples and asked, "So there's no food in this entire palace? Don't you need to eat as well?"

He hoped the response was a yes, he was starving by now from not taking anything in since he came to this horrid place.

Chu Xuan shook his head, saying, "I'm a ghost, I don't need food."

Jing Xun nodded awkwardly, "How could I not have thought about that..."

He continued, "Has Si Yan accomplished breatharianism?"

Chu Xuan replied, "Of course, long long ago I believe."

Of course, how would he not have thought about that as well. Indeed, Si Yan obviously held great power, he might as well have practiced that before.

Jing Xun threw his head back down on the pillow while groaning, "How else would I find food?"

Chu Xuan patted his shoulder and pondered deeply.

"I believe I know a place."

Jing Xun sprang up and anxiously spoke, "Take me there."

There was a gleam of light in his eyes when he heard that there's a source of food.

"Not sure if you're allowed to be out of this room though..." Chu Xuan mumbled.

Jing Xun scampered off the bed while saying, "It's needless to talk about that, I doubt he wants me to die from starvation otherwise."

Chu Xuan flew over by the man's side and nodded, "I suppose that's true..."

Jing Xun used all his might to push open the massive doors before peeking out, making sure no one was in sight.

He quietly stepped out while glancing all around.

The palace was indeed refined and sophisticated, every inch of it was decorated elegantly with luxurious materials.

"He sure lives well even for being locked up," he thought inside his mind.

Chu Xuan was floating beside him when Jing Xun asked in a quiet voice, "Where is it?"

The boy subconsciously pointed to his right, into a long hallway down as he said, "That way...I think."

Jing Xun followed his advice and they silently made their way down the dark corridor.

Every step they took was careful and soundless, they were cautious of bringing unnecessary attention to themselves. They were amazed at the fine building they were in though, everything was magnificently structured. The detailed carpet they walked on looked exquisite and finely created.

They soon approached another two way intercept.

"Chu Xuan, where to now?"

Chu Xuan looked puzzled as well when he pointed randomly to the left and mumbled, "There."

Jing Xun was suspicious, he stared at Chu Xuan with a confused look and asked, "Are you sure you know where you're going?"

What made him suspect was the boy's unsure tone and the way he spoke was not very confident in his choices.
