Three days passed after Si Yan began instructing Jing Xun on controlling his spiritual powers. It was considered extremely arduous for those practicing cultivation when they didn't have a base from the start at young age. Surprisingly, Jing Xun had been managing it fine with Si Yan circulating his own powers into his body. By now, he could simply move a small object with his will but he has yet to learn about high leveled cultivation.

Si Yan had been anxious to demonstrate him on intense skills to practice, most of which ending in both of them feeling resentful of one another. Si Yan had been also taking him to the old, dirty library that had old scrolls and books on cultivating.

The first day they entered it, a wave of dust blew onto their face and nearly caused them to abandon the idea of practicing here. It took a while to clean the place up even with Chu Xuan's help. They had been astonishingly getting along fine, though there's times Si Yan got a little annoyed with them.

The old library was prominent and colossal, it had immense, decrepit shelves lining the walls around. Thin layer of dust hovered over the top of the shelves and on the burned down candlelight stands. The pillars seemed somewhat feeble and looked as if they were going to collapse. Spiderwebs covered over the dark corners of the room and they were whacked down by Chu Xuan, who floated up to clear them.

After they had dusted and moved some things around, it was an excellent place to practice skills and research on how to improve cultivation rapidly.

As they rested by the rough mats on the ground, they scanned through the many scrolls and books, hoping to find some way to practice cultivation in a better, quicker way.

Jing Xun held out a scroll while searching through the many lines of words. He had been sitting here with Si Yan for hours by now, drained of energy. It was not only tiring, it was awkward. He had flipped through countless pages by this time. He could clearly tell how many of the nine hundred and seventy six pages that he had read today had ripped corners or smudged words. While dropping his neck downs, he tiredly scratched his head and let down a sigh.

After looking at the many many words, his eyes were sore and it was quite hard to keep his drooping head from falling over and end up having his head slam down on the small table.

As he held the old book before his exhausted eyes, he lowered the book while taking a fast glance at Si Yan, who sat in front of him while scrutinizing through the mounds of scrolls and old scripts.

The man was reading calmly, with his focus directly on the words on the paper while perusing every character. It was rather unusual to see the man this relaxed, he wasn't showing his cold glare like oftentimes.

Jing Xun continued peeking at the man, observing Si Yan's quiet figure with the book half covering his face to spy.

The more he looked, the more he conjectured his opinion of this man.

He admits, Si Yan is a little apathetic of other's feelings and he's distant and cold to get along with. His often used tactics for others to heed him is by threatening to kill them. However, for as much as he says those, he doesn't intend on actually harming anyone. He was more of the type of person that wouldn't cause any danger as long as others don't purposely enrage him.

Through these days, it was pretty tranquil through the courses of cultivating, beside for the times where Si Yan was piqued and irritated at Jing Xun's slow progress.

Nevertheless, Jing Xun could see how Si Yan's true self isn't really that bad.

Si Yan seemed to catch the stares fallen upon himself, which alters him to look straight back at Jing Xun.
