[DISCONTINUED] "𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌" (𝓢𝓽𝓻𝓪𝔀𝓫𝓮𝓻𝓻𝔂 𝔁 𝓒𝓻𝓮𝓹𝓮)

Chapter 11- "𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔"

Its Monday again. It feels like Sunday was just seconds ago. This is what it's like every day٫ I swear. I sigh٫ and flip the sign to "open." I expect a little bit of time before the day actually starts٫ but that is not the case at all today. Almost immediatly٫ I hear the door jingle.

"Hello!" A cookie says. "I'm here to have my sword fixed. Some dragon I was fighting managed to break it٫ and the blacksmith is very busy currently."

I don't even need to look to know it's Madiline. Boyfriend of Espresso٫ so the rumors say.

"Of course. It might take some time٫ though." I take a look at his sword. It's beaten up- it needs sharpening٫ and bits of it are cracked off. "Could I examine this more? I haven't worked with anything quite like this before."

He smiles. "Of course!" As he hands it to me٫ I feel some of his armor. Very tough. It feels different٫ though.

I take the sword into my office٫ and examine further. Oddly enough٫ the sword dosen't look that beat-up up close. Some glue and sharpening should do the trick. I come back out. "13 star jellies٫ please."

He digs into his pocket and comes up with 14 star jellies. "An extra for your troubles!" He gleams. I hate to admit it٫ but he's funny in a dorky way.

"Thank you٫" I smile. "It should only take half an hour."

30 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓

"Here٫ your sword. I added some upgrades to it٫ so it won't crumble under a few dragon bites٫" I say٫ handing him his sword back.

He looks it up and down. "You did this?" I nod. He looks impressed. "Wow٫ amazing! Thank you for your service٫ young lady!"

I giggle a little٫ though I feel upset by him misgendering me. But how would he react if he knew I was non-binary? I sigh silently. "It's no problem."

As he leaves٫ I sit down. Somehow٫ It dosen't take more than 5 minutes for another customer to come in.

"Hey!"

And all of a sudden٫ I have customers flooding in until lunch. Gumball٫ Purple Yam٫ and Pastry all come in before lunch. After I've fixed everything that needs fixing٫ I take a deep breath as I turn my sign to "Closed for lunch break." Buisness is booming٫ but for now٫ time for some food.
