"Avery, you look so beautiful dear" My mom told me. I tugged my skirt down because I felt like its too revealing for me at this age. "Don't tug on it!" she said while pulling my hand.
"Take one step closer to the center" the photographer demands us. I smiled my very best smile with my mother and father, feeling proud of finishing 8th grade.
"Avery!" Jane calls out. She is one of my best buds since kindergarten and I'm way to proud to see her goof off in today's program instead of just being her usual self-wearing bows, walking and acting gracefully, perfecting her handwriting and wearing pastel colors. "Smile for the camera!" my mom called out. We posed and posed. I can see that our batch mates does this "wacky-picture" thing that I never knew. I thought about changing my pose for a second but I felt like my mother is going to frown on my facial expressions so I decided to go against it. "Will you hold this for a while?" she asks my dad then she started to walk towards me. "How many times do I have to tell you to never hunch your shoulders when you stand?!" she says through a gritted teeth. I felt embarrassed because Jane is looking at me....
Oh how I wish my mother never did these....
