~insert title~

the first day

             A/N: Heyyyy, i got another story. this was originally for writing class so it had to be PG so there was a lot of editing to make it how it is now. anyway hope you enjoy it :)

               First day of summer break. Jess would be home from his walk by now. I got up off the soft grass I had been lying on and opened the gate and walked the few feet to Jess's house who is conveniently my neighbor and knocked on the door. Jess opened it and said, 

"Hey Lana! Wanna come in? We got donuts". 

 "Fuck yea!" I said running into the house and straight to the kitchen, grabbing a chocolate frosted donut and putting it on a plate before walking back to the living room and plopping down on the couch. 

" Wow, you know this place well." Jess said, shutting the door and coming to sit next to me. 

"I've been coming over since we were one and vice versa" retorted taking a bite of donut. 

"So I thought we could take a look over the old summer and other year planning book." Jess said, pulling out a notebook he had been carrying.

 " Sure, '' I said, taking another bite of donut. There were a lot of things on this list, some we had done in previous summers that had become a tradition others were newly added throughout the past school year.

                     "So how many of these can we do with everybody?" I said taking another bite of donut. 

"most of um." Jess said

 "We could do the trampoline sleepover at Bella's tomorrow night" I suggested finishing my donut and placing the plate on the side table. 

"We could also do a fort kinda thing on the trampoline if we bring some extra pillows and blankets" Jess commented. 

"Great, I'll call Bell." I said pulling my phone out of my pocket. I went to my contacts and clicked on 'messy french girl' and called her. 

"Hey Lana, what's up?" Bella said in her light french accent. 

 "Nothing much, me and Jess are going over summer plans and one of the things is to have a trampoline sleepover and build a fort." I replied. 

"And you need my house for that?" Bella said. I could hear the grin in her voice.

 "Yep, does tomorrow work?" I said with a small smile on my face.

 "Of course! I assume Alex will be coming too?"

                  Bell said "No shiit he and Lily are the only ones old enough to drive and with him there that makes two boys and two girls." I said nudging Jess and mouthing 'text Alex'. 

"Anyway thank you so much Bell, cya tomorrow!" I said 

"Cya tomorrow!" Bella said. I turned off my phone as Jess said 

"K, so Alex is gonna pick us up and join us at Bells." Jess said looking up from his phone. 

"Great, I better head home. I'll come over tomorrow to get picked up?" I asked standing up. 

"Yep, cya" Jess said. I stood up and headed out the door with a slight wave to Jess. I started walking to my house but when I reached the stairs up to the front door I just kept walking. I turned the corner and walked another two blocks and reached City Hall Park. It's a very small park, i sat on the swings. It was still midday and there were a few kids on the playground, their parents watching from the benches.

                 I started swinging a little bit. I was there for about half an hour before I checked my watch and saw it was 1:12 which made me realize how hungry I was. I thought to myself 'should i get lunch, do something super fucking illegal or get churros? I'll go down to the gas station and grab some snacks and a slushie.' It wasn't a far walk, a block or two maybe. I got there and said hi to Luca, the employee behind the register. I came here quite often because I knew most of the people who worked here. Plus I went to school with Luca sooo.... I started wandering aimlessly. I had about twenty-five bucks of pocket money on me. It was in my wallet in my tote bag which also held my phone, some hair ties, my headphones, keys and pepper spray. Because i'm a teenage girl who wants to be able to walk by her fucking self at night. I picked up two bags of doritos then went over to the candy and grabbed a box of milk duds. I walked to the back of the store and picked up a medium slurpee cup and poured the coca cola flavor into it because it would basically turn into a soda when it melted.
